With love and passion, many young writers in Dong Nai are continuing the creative legacy of previous generations, gradually asserting their individual mark and contributing to enriching the local literary and artistic life with new, emotionally rich perspectives.

Dong Nai is not only a land rich in cultural traditions but also a nurturing ground for many generations of artists and writers. Within this cultural landscape, a young generation of writers is gradually asserting their unique mark, contributing to the diverse appearance of local literature. Notable young talents include: Ly Thang Long, Le Vu Anh Dao, Hoang Thi Quynh Trang, Le Phan Hieu Anh, La Thi Hong Thuan, Dam Minh Khoi, Huynh Ngoc Tuyet Cuong, Tran Huynh Quynh... Many authors have achieved remarkable success in competitions both within and outside the city.
Ly Thang Long is one of the young authors who has made a significant impression on readers through his emotionally rich works for children and teenagers. From his debut work, *How Strange Puberty Is* (published by Kim Dong Publishing House in 2021), he continued to release the poetry collection *There Is a Flat Earth in My Eyes* (published by Kim Dong Publishing House in 2026). The manuscript of *There Is a Flat Earth in My Eyes* was honored with the Cricket's Aspiration Award in 2025.
Also in the field of children's poetry, the poetry collection "Little Girl Arranging the Country" by author Tran Huynh Quynh won the C Prize at the Dong Nai Arts and Literature Awards in 2024. The work expresses a pure and innocent perspective on homeland and country through the eyes of a child.
Sharing her journey into literature, young author Tran Huynh Quynh said: “Dong Nai is a land rich in literary traditions with many great names such as Ly Van Sam, Hoang Van Bon, Huynh Van Nghe, Nguyen Thai Hai… I feel very fortunate to have had access to the works of these earlier writers and poets. Those writings have nurtured in me a love for literature, for people, and a pride in Dong Nai's literary heritage. That is also the flame that motivates young people like us to continue creating.”
Not content with just poetry and short stories, many young authors in Dong Nai have boldly ventured into theater and film, reaping considerable rewards. Among them, the script "Summer Adventure" by author Hoang Thi Quynh Trang won the B prize at the Dong Nai Arts and Culture Awards in 2025; and the script "Ice Cream and the Magical Friend, Season 2" by author Le Vu Anh Dao won the C prize in the same year.
According to young authors, to create engaging works for readers, today's young writers need to accumulate practical experience, constantly observe, reflect, and learn. Therefore, writing camps and field trips are always useful environments for honing skills, shaping their own style, and enriching their life experiences to pursue a long-term literary career.
Supporting young authors
Besides authors with published works or award-winning works, Dong Nai also boasts many young talents who have shown early signs of aptitude, discovered and nurtured from their school days. Examples include: Nguyen Bao Anh (a student in class 8A6, Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School, Phuoc Long Ward); Nguyen Thao Linh (a student in class 9A1, Phuoc Binh Secondary School, Phuoc Binh Ward)... Despite their young age, their works have been published in various publications and have received encouragement and attention from teachers, families, and literature enthusiasts.
In addition to writing, young authors today are also actively utilizing social media and digital platforms to introduce their works, connect with readers, and spread their love of literature. This expands the creative space, allowing their writings to reach the public more quickly and easily.
According to Pham Van Hoang, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Association of Literature and Arts, for many years, the association has always focused on nurturing, supporting, and creating conditions for the development of young writers. Today's young writers are the next generation, contributing to the continuation of Dong Nai's literature and arts, fostering integration and development. He hopes that young authors will continuously learn, accumulate experience, preserve cultural identity, and boldly innovate to produce more excellent works that meet the increasingly sophisticated tastes of the public.
From June 8th to 17th, the Dong Nai Association of Literature and Arts will organize the 2026 Literature and Arts Creative Camp in Tam Dao, Phu Tho province, for members in the fields of music , literature, fine arts, photography, and theater. It is expected that 15 artists will participate, with priority given to young artists, female artists, and artists from ethnic minority groups.
