After the 0-3 loss of CA TP.HCM to The Cong Viettel at Hang Day Stadium on the evening of August 22, striker Nguyen Tien Linh lingered in the tunnel area to sign autographs for fans. The striker born in 1997 diligently signed autographs and took photos with young fans, creating a memorable moment after the match.
However, an unexpected situation occurred when Tien Linh missed a step and fell right in front of many people. He quickly stood up, although he walked with a limp, he still finished signing autographs before returning to the dressing room.
Back to the match, CA TP.HCM suffered a 0-3 defeat against The Cong Viettel. The home team's three goals were scored by Pedro Henrique, Damian Vu and Lucao. This was a match in which Tien Linh did not leave much of an impression as CA TP.HCM's attack was almost blocked for 90 minutes.
In contrast to this match, just a week ago, Tien Linh scored in the first minutes of a 2-1 victory over Hanoi in the opening round of V.League 2025/26. However, with the defeat in round 2, CA TP.HCM will need to quickly regain their form to keep up with the long-term trajectory of V.League.
