BIDV honored as "Top 50 best listed companies in Vietnam" by Forbes

(Dan Tri) - On August 21, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) was honored in the Top 50 best listed companies in Vietnam according to the rankings of Forbes Vietnam Magazine.

For the 5th consecutive time appearing in this list of 50 best listed companies, BIDV was honored with the leading position in revenue in the banking industry and ranked 8th in revenue among all Vietnamese enterprises.

The list of Top 50 best listed companies in Vietnam was announced by Forbes Vietnam based on a rigorous evaluation process, going through many rounds with criteria such as: the enterprise is profitable in 2024, with revenue and capitalization of at least 500 billion VND; evaluating the compound growth rate of revenue, profit, ROE (return on equity), ROIC (return on investment) ...

The data used for the assessment is the audited consolidated financial statements for 2024. Not only based on data, Forbes Vietnam also conducts qualitative investigations to assess the level of sustainable development of the enterprise, the company's position in the industry, the source of profit, the quality of corporate governance, and industry prospects.

In 2024, promoting the role of a key commercial bank, the economy 's leading bank, after a year of business efforts, by December 31, 2024, BIDV had 3 main scale indicators: total assets, capital mobilization, and outstanding credit all exceeding 2 million billion VND. Of which, with total assets reaching nearly 2.7 million billion VND (more than 100 billion USD), BIDV maintained its position as the leading commercial bank in Vietnam.

With its strong financial capacity and scale, BIDV has provided millions of billions of VND in credit to serve the development of the economy; in which it has made its mark in maintaining its leading position in the market in terms of green credit scale with more than VND 81,000 billion, accounting for 12% of the total green debt of the entire economy.

BIDV is also one of the banks with positive results in digital transformation, providing many smart digital solutions and products for all customers, from businesses, organizations to individuals.
