More than 1,000 girls perform tea making in Lam Dong

(Dan Tri) - Within the framework of the 2025 International Tea Festival held in Lam Dong, 1,111 girls performed tea making and tea serving in a special style.

On the night of December 5, at Lam Vien Square, Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee coordinated with relevant agencies to organize the opening ceremony of the International Tea Festival - World TEA Fest 2025.

Attending the ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, leaders and former leaders of central ministries, departments and branches, leaders of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, 40 ambassadors of various countries, representatives of international organizations and businesses.

Mr. Dinh Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, said that the locality is blessed with a temperate climate and good soil. Lam Dong has long been famous for many high-quality agricultural products associated with the brand "Da Lat - a miraculous crystallization from the good land". Among them, Lam Dong has become the cradle of premium tea lines, on par with famous teas in Vietnam and the world .

Mr. Dinh Van Tuan said that the festival is an opportunity for localities and businesses to introduce their products and unique tea culture to friends and tourists at home and abroad. At the same time, the festival is a bridge to strengthen international cooperation relationships, with the presence of more than 50 ambassadors, consuls general, and more than 80 beauty ambassadors from more than 80 countries.

“This festival is also an opportunity to connect tea producers, distributors and consumers; open up business cooperation opportunities and promote the global supply chain. It is a journey of discovery for tourists in the green tea regions and experience tea culture with long-time tea artisans,” said Mr. Dinh Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee.

At the opening ceremony of the 2025 International Tea Festival, VietKings announced 4 new Vietnamese records, including: The 1927 ancient tea factory in Bao Loc - one of the oldest tea processing facilities still existing in Vietnam; the organizer of the International Tea Festival with the largest chain of cultural, economic and diplomatic activities; the performance "Thanh Tam Tra Dance" with 1,111 tea ladies making and offering tea in the "Vietnamese Tea Ceremony" style, the most in one location; the festival with the most beauty queens and beauty representatives of Miss Cosmo from countries and territories participating in the experience.

Also at the event, the Vietnam UNESCO Association and the Japan UNESCO Association awarded the certificate of Intangible Cultural Heritage Practice to Lam Dong Tea Joint Stock Company (Ladotea) for its efforts in gathering the practice community and spreading tea knowledge on an unprecedented scale.

With the theme "Connecting the quintessence of tea of ​​humanity", the 2025 International Tea Festival was held for the first time in Vietnam, taking place on December 5-7 in Da Lat, Bao Loc and some typical tea growing areas of Lam Dong.

Within the framework of the festival, people and tourists will experience a series of activities: International Tea Exhibition Fair; High-level conference on sustainable development of the tea industry; Tea music festival; Diplomatic tea program; Street festival.
