Eximbank Chairman resigns for personal reasons

Mr. Nguyen Canh Anh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eximbank, has resigned and his replacement is Ms. Pham Thi Huyen Trang.

Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank) has just announced information on senior personnel restructuring.

Accordingly, at the meeting held on December 4, the Board of Directors of Eximbank approved Mr. Nguyen Canh Anh to resign from the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors according to his personal wishes.

Mr. Nguyen Canh Anh was elected as an additional member of the Board of Directors (BOD) for the 7th term (2020-2025) at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of Eximbank in September 2023. After that, he will continue to hold the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eximbank for the 8th term (2025-2030) and Legal Representative of Eximbank from April 29, 2025.

Also on December 4, 2025, Eximbank's Board of Directors met and approved Mr. Nguyen Canh Anh's wish, and elected Ms. Pham Thi Huyen Trang, Permanent Vice President, to hold the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of this bank.

Ms. Pham Thi Huyen Trang has a master's degree in banking and finance, and a senior degree in political theory. She worked for 12 years at VietinBank and held many important positions at the bank such as: Deputy Director of Hanoi Branch, Head of Credit Approval Department, Deputy Director of Credit Approval Block... Ms. Trang was also an independent member of the Board of Directors of VietinBank Securities Company. Previously, Ms. Trang worked at Sun Group Corporation.

Ms. Trang will continue to lead the Bank Transformation Project with the goal of reaching out and making Eximbank an organization: Effective - Transparent - Professional - Sustainable.

Currently, the bank's operations are stable, focusing on customers and enhancing the capacity of systemic risk management. Eximbank's Board of Directors is steadfast in its development strategy.
