Construction has begun on the roundabout area on the access road to the Bac Luan II Bridge.

On the morning of April 3rd, the People's Committee of Mong Cai City and Vinhomes Joint Stock Company jointly held the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction project of the roundabout area on the access road to Bac Luan II Bridge, with Vinhomes Joint Stock Company as the investor. This project is not only part of the overall urban planning but also holds strategic significance for the city's transportation infrastructure.

The delegates pressed the button to officially launch the construction project.

The investment project to build a roundabout on the access road to the Bac Luan II Bridge has been approved in principle by the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee and the Quang Ninh Economic Zone Management Board has approved the investment policy and the investor, with the following mechanism: “The investor will self-fund the investment; after completion of the project, the investor will hand over the project to the competent state agency for management and use; the capital for the project will be accounted for by the investor, will not be used as a basis for deducting land use fees for projects the investor is currently undertaking, will not require reimbursement, will not be included in the investment capital of other projects of the investor, and will not be subject to other conditions with Quang Ninh province and Mong Cai city.”

The project, with an investment scale of approximately 4.81 hectares (3.75 hectares for new construction including roads, sidewalks, and landscaping; and 1.06 hectares for upgrading existing road surfaces), has a total investment of 146 billion VND and is expected to be completed in August 2025.

Upon completion, the project will contribute to the improvement of transportation infrastructure along the access road to the Bac Luan II Bridge, a crucial gateway between Mong Cai (Vietnam) and Dongxing (China) via the Bac Luan II border gate. This is not just a simple transportation project, but also a connection between important economic and urban areas. It serves as a key link between the two urban development projects on either side of the Bac Luan II Bridge access road and the urban development project south of the Bac Luan II Bridge, connecting them with the Bac Luan II border gate and the Van Don - Mong Cai expressway. This will contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality and transform the area's landscape.

The project has demonstrated the company's sense of responsibility towards Mong Cai city in particular and Quang Ninh province in general; the investment project is not for the company's own benefit but aims at the common good of the city and the province, contributing to the improvement of transportation and urban infrastructure in the area; realizing the spirit of the Prime Minister's directive: The State and businesses must "share hardships and joys," "harmonize interests, and share risks."
