Walking across the newly built and upgraded bridges in An Hung hamlet, we could clearly feel the joy of the people as transportation was seamlessly connected from the commune to each hamlet and each house. Ms. Thi Yen, a resident of An Hung hamlet, excitedly shared: “Since the bridges and roads in the hamlet were completed, everyone is happy. Travel and trade are much more convenient than before, and people's lives have improved.”

An Hung hamlet currently has 5 self-governing residential groups, with 264 households and 1,086 inhabitants, of which the Khmer ethnic group accounts for approximately 99% of the population. The people mainly live by agricultural production. In recent years, An Hung has been recognized by Go Quao commune as a shining example in mobilizing the people's participation in building infrastructure projects serving daily life and production. Following the motto "The people know, the people discuss, the people do, the people inspect, the people supervise, and the people benefit," the An Hung hamlet Party branch always promotes the central role of the people in socio -economic development. All policies and tasks are discussed openly, creating high consensus among the people.

To enhance the effectiveness of mobilization, the hamlet's Party branch established a mobilization team to implement various movements, with the participation of influential figures in the community. Through this, the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws are disseminated promptly, creating positive changes from awareness to action among the people. Sharing his experience in mobilizing the people's strength, Mr. Duong Quoc Chien, Secretary of the Party Branch and Head of An Hung Hamlet, said: “To gain the people's consensus, everything must be clear, practical, suitable to the people's capabilities, and prioritize the people's interests. Implementation must be open and transparent to build trust. Cadres must be dedicated to their work, know how to listen, share, and respect the people's opinions to achieve high levels of consensus.”

Thanks to the collective efforts of the people, many essential infrastructure projects have been gradually built and completed. To date, 100% of the roads in the hamlet have been concreted, and rural bridges have been widened to 3 meters, contributing to changing the appearance of the hamlet. From 2020 to 2026, the hamlet mobilized resources to build 5 rural bridges, with a total cost of nearly 700 million VND, raised from contributions by residents, organizations, and philanthropists. Notably, many households voluntarily donated land and contributed labor to the construction of bridges and roads.

Infrastructure development, focused on connecting hamlets and communes, has facilitated socio-economic development and contributed to improving people's lives. Currently, the average per capita income in the hamlet is approximately 76 million VND per year. Besides infrastructure development, the An Hung hamlet Party branch has also actively encouraged residents to participate in the movement to build a bright, green, clean, and beautiful living environment. Many roads have been equipped with streetlights, security cameras, and flagpoles according to regulations. The funding for these projects mainly comes from voluntary contributions from the residents. These projects not only make travel more convenient and safer at night but also contribute to ensuring security and order in the locality.

In addition, An Hung hamlet focuses on implementing sustainable poverty reduction. Each year, the hamlet's Party branch sets a target of reducing at least 4 poor households, and simultaneously implements many practical support models such as: the "Rice Jar of Compassion," revolving capital contributions, and creating conditions for people to borrow capital to develop their economy. Many effective production models have also been replicated, such as growing vegetables, raising eels, raising frogs, raising pigs, etc., helping many households gradually improve their income.

Furthermore, the hamlet's Party branch actively mobilized resources to support housing and livelihoods for poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households. Thanks to these comprehensive solutions, the hamlet's poverty reduction efforts have yielded positive results, exceeding the targets set by the commune. To date, the entire hamlet has only 1 poor household and 2 near-poor households. These figures not only reflect the transformation in economic life but also demonstrate the effectiveness of mobilizing the people's strength and promoting community solidarity.

From a region once facing many difficulties, An Hung is now gradually rising to become a shining example in the construction of new rural areas, a testament to the strength of unity between the Party and the people.
