A groundbreaking initiative for education and healthcare.

(NLĐO) - AI can personalize the learning process and assess learner effectiveness. In healthcare , AI is applied to support more accurate disease diagnosis.

On January 8th, Saigon International University (SIU) organized a workshop titled "AI Systems Applied in Education and Healthcare," with the participation of leading scientists, technology experts, educators, and healthcare professionals from renowned research institutes, universities, and technology companies both domestically and internationally.

Professor Do Phuc, from the University of Information Technology (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), presented his paper at the conference.

Professor Do Phuc, from the University of Information Technology (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), stated that each year, the academic title evaluation process is organized, and each candidate submits a detailed dossier with numerous research and teaching achievements. Processing this large volume of dossiers within a limited timeframe is an intellectually demanding and time-consuming task.

In his presentation "Research on the Application of NLP (Natural Language Processing) Supported by AI and Data Visualization to Assist in Candidate Profile Processing," Professor Do Phuc presented the application of several AI-assisted NLP advancements to support the profile evaluation process. This was achieved by automating the extraction of information from candidate application forms and using AI-powered natural language processing tools to analyze the data. These tools include keyword extraction to identify research topics, recognition of foreign author names, summarizing article content, and clustering articles by title to detect duplicate content.

Furthermore, Professor Do Phuc's presentation utilized visual tools to illustrate the analysis results from numerous candidate profiles, highlighting the achievements of each candidate.

The workshop "AI Systems Applied in Education and Healthcare" brought together 27 papers, including 9 presentations delivered live by leading experts in the fields of technology, healthcare, and education.

In the field of education, the conference focused on prominent issues such as using AI to personalize learning and improve teaching effectiveness; integrating AI technology into school management and student assessment; and applying ChatGPT and other AI tools in lesson planning and lecture design.

In the healthcare sector, presentations highlighted the role of AI in disease diagnosis, medical image analysis, and personalized treatment; the application of AI to improve patient care processes and pharmaceutical development; and AI ethics in medicine: risk management and privacy protection.

Representatives from Saigon International University stated that the conference was organized to create a forum for domestic and international scientists to exchange academic knowledge, share expertise, discuss practical challenges facing education and healthcare, and explore the potential of AI to create breakthrough solutions. The conference is expected to enhance the scientific research capacity of lecturers, undergraduates, and graduate students, and encourage creative thinking in scientific research to produce works of international value.
