Two individuals charged for breaking into a mobile phone store.

On the afternoon of April 25th, the Criminal Investigation Agency of the An Giang Provincial Police announced that it had issued a decision to initiate a criminal case, indict the suspects, and order the temporary detention of Pham Thanh Hai Em (born in 1988, residing in Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap province) and Huynh Thi Kim Nga (born in 1995, residing in Vinh Long city, Vinh Long province) for the crime of "theft of property".

The police seized the evidence related to the case.

Earlier, at approximately 11 PM on April 8th, at the "KO" mobile phone store (located in Hamlet 1, Vinh Xuong Commune, Tan Chau Town), thieves used bolt cutters to cut the door lock and broke into the store, stealing over 80 mobile phones of various types, worth approximately 600 million VND. The Provincial Police Directorate instructed the Criminal Police Department to coordinate with the Vinh Xuong Commune Police and other professional units to conduct a scene investigation and pursue the perpetrators.

Through investigative measures, by the morning of April 12th, the police force identified and arrested Nga, seizing 17 mobile phones. Following further interrogation, on April 21st, authorities arrested Hai Em while he was hiding in Cao Lanh City.

At the police station, the two suspects initially admitted to their crimes. A large number of stolen mobile phones were recovered. Currently, the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police is coordinating with other provinces to continue investigating and pursuing other suspects involved in the case. At the same time, they are urging the suspects involved to surrender to the police soon to receive leniency under the law.
