On August 15, the investigating agency of the Supreme People's Procuracy issued a decision to prosecute the accused and a detention order for Mr. Vo Dinh Soon (Judge of the People's Court of Gia Lai province) to investigate the crime. “Receiving bribes”, according to the provisions of Article 8 of the Penal Code.
According to the initial investigation results, Mr. Vo Dinh Soon was assigned to handle and adjudicate the civil case of the land use right dispute. However, during the settlement of the case, Mr. Soon demanded that the litigant named T. give 500 million VND to settle the case for Mr. T. to win the case.
Previously, on August 4, the investigating agency of the Supreme People's Procuracy executed an emergency detention order and searched the office of Mr. Vo Dinh Soon at the People's Court of Gia Lai province. Lai, discovered and seized 8 million VND is the amount that Mr. T. gave to Mr. Soon as requested.
The case is being handled by the Investigation Agency of the Supreme People's Procuracy according to regulations.
