When the Fatherland needs them, the youth are there. When the Fatherland calls, the youth are ready to go. Among the nearly 4,500 new recruits from Thanh Hoa province assigned to military service in 2026, 747 are Party members, and 492 have completed Party membership training. Continuing the spirit of previous generations, many young people of conscription age this year are volunteering to join the military, seriously considering joining the army and police units as ideal environments for self-improvement and contributing more to the country. Among the many volunteer applications submitted to the authorities, 1,303 young people have had the honor of being called upon by the Fatherland.
Furthermore, the large number of new recruits that Thanh Hoa province has assigned to military and police units this year not only demonstrates that recruitment is ensuring sufficient numbers but also affirms that we have further improved the quality of our recruits. Statistics show that not only are there a large number of recruits who are Party members or have positive feelings towards the Party, but many new soldiers also possess high levels of education and technical expertise. Most importantly, the recruits all demonstrate ambition, aspiration, and a serious commitment to joining the People's Army and Police to hone their skills and contribute. This is a crucial factor ensuring that recruits, upon joining their units, will immediately begin training and successfully undertake challenging tasks.
More than just the thought of young people fulfilling their duty to the country, the enlistment ceremony also reflects a commitment to action for the Fatherland from the entire political system, each family, and the new recruits themselves. After this warm and solemn ceremony, the new soldiers will return to their training units to begin their "journey of aspiration and dedication." Party committees, government agencies, and mass organizations will continue to fulfill their duties in supporting the military. In particular, they should create suitable job opportunities so that after completing their service, young people have jobs and a good environment to thrive in their hometowns. All of this must be done with the heart, not just with the word "duty."
The 2026 military recruitment season has concluded, but what remains that fills us with pride is the difference between the quantity and quality of new recruits. From their emotional state to their practical actions... All of this shows that recruitment efforts are not just focused on meeting quotas, but have shifted strongly towards improving quality, contributing to building an increasingly professional and elite army and police force.
