No new polluting facilities arise

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in April 2025, the department appraised the environmental impact assessment report of 1 project, granted environmental licenses to 9 projects and facilities, notified the completion of dossiers for 12 projects and returned dossiers to 8 cases. In addition, the department participated in the inspection team and held an appraisal meeting to grant environmental licenses to 1 project at the invitation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

In April, the provincial authorities announced and handed over decisions on administrative sanctions for environmental protection violations to 7 establishments, and invited 2 enterprises to work on changes to the issued environmental licenses. The People's Committees of districts and cities collected and treated 70,000 tons of domestic solid waste. The rate of handling establishments causing serious environmental pollution reached 100%, and no new establishments causing pollution were established. Regarding wastewater fee collection, the authorities announced the payment of fees to 56 establishments with a discharge volume of 20m³/day or more; in the first quarter of 2025, the total collected fees were more than 1.92 billion VND.
