No new sources of pollution have been created.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in April 2025, the department reviewed the environmental impact assessment report for one project, granted environmental permits to nine projects/facilities, notified 12 projects to complete their dossiers, and returned dossiers in eight cases. In addition, the department participated in an inspection team and a meeting to assess and grant environmental permits for one project at the invitation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

In April, provincial authorities announced and handed over administrative penalty decisions in the field of environmental protection to 7 establishments, and invited 2 businesses to work on matters related to changes compared to their issued environmental permits. The People's Committees of districts and cities collected and processed 70,000 tons of solid household waste. The rate of handling seriously polluting establishments reached 100%, with no new polluting establishments emerging. Regarding wastewater fee collection, authorities notified 56 establishments with wastewater discharge volumes of 20 m³/day or more to pay fees; the cumulative total fees collected in the first quarter of 2025 exceeded 1.92 billion VND.
