These days, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, President of the Women's Union of Sen Ngu commune, is busier than usual. The Women's Union recently organized a livestream session to guide women in the commune on how to create short video clips for online sales on Facebook. During this session, dried bitter melon from a local clean bitter melon cooperative was chosen as the subject for creating a promotional video clip.
This is also a very effective way to promote the locality's key agricultural products, aiming to boost e-commerce and create a powerful channel for product consumption. The women were given detailed instructions by association officials on each step in the process of creating an attractive and impressive video clip, from script preparation and filming to editing, uploading to Facebook, and receiving feedback. This online sales practice session is one of the activities aimed at implementing the smart residential area model in Thang Loi village, Sen Ngu commune.
Previously, the Women's Union of the commune, in coordination with the Ngu Thuy Border Guard Station, organized activities to support people at Mai Market and other markets in the commune to implement the contents of Project 06. Women's Union officials and members, along with border guard officers and soldiers, directly guided people in activating and using electronic identification, the QUANGTRI-S application, etc.; updating personal information, integrating documents into the application; and assisting with online administrative procedures…
And in particular, people were guided to conduct cashless transactions through banking applications. A large number of people also received information and raised awareness about digital transformation, thereby actively applying it in their production, business, and daily lives.

According to Nguyen Thi Hong, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Sen Ngu commune, this activity is part of a high-intensity emulation campaign to celebrate the 14th National Women's Congress, in coordination with the Ngu Thuy Border Guard Station to implement digital transformation and Project 06 in the commune. The Union has established two working groups to coordinate with the station to effectively carry out the work.
The intensive emulation campaign was launched and widely implemented among all cadres, members, and women throughout the commune; the content of the campaign was specific, practical, and closely aligned with practical needs, linked to the implementation of the local political tasks. The combination of propaganda and hands-on guidance contributed to significant changes in people's awareness of digital transformation.
Recently, the People's Committee of Sen Ngu commune launched a smart residential area model in Thang Loi village. This is a pilot model to improve the quality of management, promote digital government, digital economy , and digital society at the grassroots level, and to draw lessons for replication throughout the commune by 2027. The model is people-centered, ensuring that digital utilities are easily accessible and user-friendly. The community digital technology team plays a strong role following the motto "going to every alley, knocking on every door".
The goal of the smart residential area is to strive for 100% of households in the selected pilot area to have fiber optic internet or 4G/5G mobile network access; for over 90% of adults to own smartphones; and to maintain one free public Wi-Fi hotspot and one computer with internet access at the village cultural center for residents to access information.
In addition, there are specific targets regarding digital government, digital economy, digital society, and digital data. Specifically, the goal is to achieve over 70% cashless payment transactions (electricity, water, services); at least 95% of beneficiaries of social welfare policies will make payments via bank accounts; and 100% of individual business households in the village will have QR codes for payment and be guided on how to list their products on digital platforms.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee of Sen Ngu Commune, Nguyen Van Nghia, emphasized: "This model is an important step in bringing digital transformation closer to the people, gradually building a digital government, a digital society, and digital citizens right from the grassroots. Cadres, Party members, and people need to actively learn digital skills and proactively use digital platforms and utilities in their daily lives. The efforts on the 'digital front' of the commune in recent times are clear evidence of the 'Sen Ngu spirit': constantly striving, persevering, and diligently working on the digital journey, leaving no one behind."
