New Vietnamese film time slots on VTV3

A new Vietnamese film slot has been launched on VTV3 at 9:30 PM every Saturday, with a duration of approximately 90 minutes (equivalent to two consecutive episodes).

The introduction of this time slot is seen as a new adjustment in the TV station's weekend Vietnamese film broadcasting strategy, aiming to bring viewers modern stories that are relatable to the lives of young people. Opening the slot is the film "Love Before the Wedding," directed by Vo Thach Thao, featuring a prominent cast including Song Luan, Minh Trang, Nha Phuong, Quoc Anh, Si Thanh , and others. The film also features Meritorious Artist My Duyen, Hoang Trinh, Le Khanh, Trinh Thao, Son Soho, and Khanh Linh.

Accordingly, the film is adapted from an original Taiwanese (China) script titled " We Can't Be Friends." The story revolves around the lives, love, marriage, and emotional issues of modern youth, exploring the hidden aspects of premarital relationships. The film not only reflects the anxieties and difficulties young people face but also their journey of growth and the search for a path that leads to freedom and happiness.

The central story revolves around a love triangle between Nhat Phuong (Minh Trang), Huy Hoang (Song Luan), and Manh Dung (Quoc Anh). Nhat Phuong surprises those around her by simultaneously having feelings for both men, even though she insists, "I've never considered cheating." Meanwhile, Minh Anh (Nha Phuong) – Huy Hoang's girlfriend of 10 years and Nhat Phuong's best friend – faces heartbreak upon discovering the secret relationship between her fiancé and her former classmate.

Besides the romantic storyline, the film also delves into the anxieties of young people facing life's pressures: making a living, love, career, and family responsibilities. Each character must confront their own mistakes and learn to mature, making choices that align with their individual paths.

Introducing the 9:30 PM Saturday time slot is also VTV's experiment to attract television viewers on weekends, as viewers' entertainment needs change and digital platforms continue to develop. This new time slot is expected to become a popular weekend spot for Vietnamese films, offering relatable, modern stories while maintaining emotional and human depth.
