The launch of this time slot is considered a new adjustment in the TV station's strategy of broadcasting Vietnamese movies on weekends, aiming to bring audiences modern stories that are close to the lives of young people. Opening the time slot is the movie "Love before the wedding" directed by Vo Thach Thao, with the participation of a prominent cast: Song Luan, Minh Trang, Nha Phuong, Quoc Anh, Si Thanh ... The movie also has the participation of: Meritorious Artist My Duyen, Hoang Trinh, Le Khanh, Trinh Thao, Son Soho, Khanh Linh.
Accordingly, the film is adapted from the original Taiwanese (Chinese) script called " We Can't Be Friends" . The content tells about the life, love, marriage and emotional problems of modern youth, exploiting the hidden corners of pre-marital relationships. The film not only reflects the struggles and difficulties that young people have to face, but also the journey of growing up, finding a path that makes them feel free and happy.
The central story revolves around the love triangle between: Nhat Phuong (Minh Trang), Huy Hoang (Song Luan) and Manh Dung (Quoc Anh). Nhat Phuong surprised everyone around her when she had feelings for both men at the same time, even though she affirmed: "I have never had the thought of having an affair." Meanwhile, Minh Anh (Nha Phuong) - Huy Hoang's lover for 10 years and also Nhat Phuong's best friend - had to face the pain of discovering the secret relationship between her fiancé and her old classmate.
Besides the love story, the film also delves into the struggles of young people facing the pressures of life: making a living, love, career, responsibility to family. Each character must face their own mistakes and learn to grow up, to make the right choice for their own path.
Opening the 9:30 pm Saturday slot is also a test step by VTV in attracting TV audiences on weekends, when viewers' entertainment needs change and digital platforms are increasingly developed. This new slot is expected to become a meeting point for Vietnamese movies on weekends, bringing close, modern stories, but still maintaining emotional and human depth.
