The conference was attended by representatives from the leadership of several departments, agencies, units, and relevant localities.

According to the approved plan, the Ninh Cuong bridge will have a total length of approximately 1.65 km, including a bridge section of about 0.67 km and approach roads at both ends totaling about 0.98 km. The project is being built to replace the current Ninh Cuong pontoon bridge, connecting Nghia Hung commune and Ninh Cuong commune. The project has a total investment of over 581 billion VND, including approximately 52 billion VND for land acquisition and compensation. Funding sources include ODA loans from the South Korean government and domestic counterpart funds.
The bridge is designed with two lanes for motorized vehicles, 12 meters wide; the approach roads at both ends meet the standards of a Class III road in a flat area, with a design speed of 80 km/h. The project is scheduled for implementation between 2024 and 2027. Currently, the relevant units are focusing on land clearance and preparation for construction.
According to the Ninh Binh Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board No. 2, the total area of land expected to be acquired for the project is approximately 44,833 m2; of which Nghia Hung commune accounts for about 24,960 m2 and Ninh Cuong commune about 19,873 m2. The project is expected to affect 143 households and organizations, of which 49 households are expected to require resettlement.
To date, Ninh Cuong and Nghia Hung communes have handed over 9,681.9 m2 of land to the investor for construction (Nghia Hung commune: 4,800 m2, Ninh Cuong commune: 4,881 m2). On the handed-over area, the contractor is preparing the necessary conditions for construction from pillar P6 to pillar P8 and the intersection area with National Highway 37B. Currently, the relevant units are continuing to finalize compensation, support, resettlement, and relocation documents to ensure the project's smooth implementation.

At the conference, delegates focused on clarifying and resolving remaining difficulties and obstacles regarding: the land clearance sub-project; the relocation of Minh Khai Company's shipyard; the medium-voltage power line; the location of the resettlement area ensuring convenience and benefit for the people; and the relocation of the waterway at Ninh Cuong pontoon bridge...

Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Cao Son, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested that localities, the Project Management Board No. 2, and relevant units strengthen coordination to accelerate land clearance work, ensuring it is scientific, thorough, and avoids lengthy procedures that delay project progress; promptly review resettlement needs and complete dossiers for early implementation; and carefully review the relocation plan for structures within the affected area, ensuring the correct volume and avoiding unreasonable costs.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Thang Long Project Management Board to develop a suitable construction plan, ensuring traffic safety and the safety of vehicles and people during the project implementation.
