At ABC Bakery (No. 109, 30th April Street), the inspection team assessed compliance with legal regulations on food safety. They also checked food safety conditions during processing, product quality and safety, the origin of raw materials, legal documentation, labeling, production dates, and expiration dates of ingredients.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Hong, Team Leader of Food Safety Management Team No. 1, said that recently, the unit has organized many food safety inspection teams in wards and communes. From September 5th to the present, the inspection team has inspected many production and business establishments and randomly collected 10 product samples for testing to assess quality and safety.

During the inspection, the team noted that most establishments complied with regulations on food safety; raw materials had labels and documents proving their clear origin; and the establishments had all the necessary business licenses.

However, some establishments still do not fully understand the regulations regarding product labeling. Many establishments do not affix supplementary labels to imported products, and labels lack mandatory information. The inspection team invited representatives from these establishments to address the issues, disseminate information, and provide guidance on implementing and complying with the regulations.

Besides inspecting mooncakes and confectionery products, Food Safety Management Team No. 1 focused on inspecting food service establishments where Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations for children were held. The team emphasized checking business conditions regarding the origin of ingredients, food sample retention, and processing procedures.

“During inspections, for establishments that do not meet food safety and hygiene regulations, the inspection team will remind them, require strict compliance, and demand a commitment to comply with the regulations. For cases of violations where reminders have been given but the violations are not complied with, the team will take strict action in accordance with the law,” Ms. Hong stated.
