According to the Ministry of Education and Training , this is the largest exam ever, with the participation of more than 1.1 million candidates nationwide, held at 2,493 exam locations with more than 50,000 exam rooms. It is expected that about 200,000 personnel will be mobilized to participate in the exam organization such as officials, teachers in the education sector, police, military, medical, electricity, etc.
The 2025 high school graduation exam will be held on June 25, 26, 27, and 28, 2025. June 25 will be used for exam registration procedures; June 26 and 27 will be used for exam supervision; and June 28 will be used as a backup date.
Candidates studying under the 2018 General Education Program will take 4 exams, including Math and Literature. In addition, they will choose two subjects they have studied at school (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Language).
Candidates studying under the 2006 GeneralEducation Program will take exams in Literature, Math, Foreign Language, and one of two exams in Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civic Education).
Up to this point, with the spirit of urgency, seriousness, responsibility, and initiative of relevant agencies, units, and localities, the preparation work for the exam has been basically completed. In particular, ensuring security and safety for the exam, especially reviewing the security and safety of the software system, information, data security, and transporting exam questions and papers, has been focused on. The exam plan, organization of teaching, learning, and review for 12th grade students, mock exams, training on regulations, professional skills, inspection, testing, question banks, and exam questions have been carried out thoughtfully, thoroughly, and methodically.
This year, in particular, there are candidates studying the 2018 General Education Program and the 2006 General Education Program participating in the exam with many new and old regulations intertwined, requiring teachers and examiners to have a firm grasp of the regulations, thereby creating the most favorable conditions and the most comfortable spirit for the candidates.
In Quang Ninh, the whole province has 19,930 candidates taking the 2025 high school graduation exam (an increase of 1,966 candidates compared to 2024), including 336 independent candidates. The whole province organizes 1 council with 40 exam sites arranged (an increase of 3 exam sites compared to 2024) and 849 exam rooms (an increase of 64 exam rooms compared to 2024). The whole province will mobilize about 3,500 people to participate in the exam supervision task.
Up to this point, with early, thorough, and systematic preparation, Quang Ninh has been ready for the exam to take place carefully, safely, seriously, objectively, in accordance with regulations, and effectively; absolutely no errors, negativity, or violations of exam regulations will occur. The province has directed relevant departments, branches, and localities to prepare the most favorable conditions for candidates with the motto: No candidate will have to drop out of the exam due to economic difficulties, travel, or objective obstacles.
With careful preparation in all aspects, it is certain that the 2025 High School Graduation Exam - an exam taking place during a special period of the country and the intersection of two educational programs, will take place successfully.
