Following the brief and solemn opening ceremonies for the new school year held at educational institutions, teachers, students, and trainees throughout the province watched the ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the education sector's tradition combined with the opening of the 2025-2026 school year, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and broadcast live on national television from the My Dinh National Convention Center (Hanoi).
Start the school year with a spirit of innovation.

Unlike previous years' opening ceremonies, this year's ceremony consisted of two parts: a brief celebratory event organized by each school, lasting 60 minutes from 7-8 am; and at 8 am, all schools watching the national television broadcast of the ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the education sector's tradition combined with the opening of the 2025-2026 school year, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dong Nai province, Do Dang Bao Linh, shared: "This year's opening ceremony is very special for students in Dong Nai, not only because it's the first school year after the province's merger and the implementation of a two-tiered local government model, but also because it brings positive signals from the special attention given by the Party and State to education, teachers, and students. Specifically, on August 22, 2025, General Secretary To Lam signed Resolution 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development. Before that, on July 18, the Politburo issued Notice No. 81-TB/TW on the policy of investing in school construction for border communes."
Specifically, starting from the 2025-2026 school year, public preschool and primary school students nationwide will be exempt from tuition fees, while students in private and non-public schools will also be considered for tuition fee support. Furthermore, the salaries and incomes of teachers will be significantly improved and will continue to improve even more in the future. These are crucial drivers for improving the overall quality of teaching and learning, not only for the 2025-2026 school year, but also for creating momentum for breakthroughs in subsequent school years.

Ms. Pham Thi Tram, Principal of Loc Tan Secondary School (Loc Tan commune), a border commune in Dong Nai province, shared: "The opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year, with the school's management board, teachers, and over 700 students, was much more joyful than previous opening ceremonies. We are happy because the Party and the State are increasingly paying special attention to the education sector, to teachers and students, especially in remote, mountainous, ethnic minority, and border areas. The school hopes that the provincial People's Committee's plan to invest in school facilities for border communes, including Loc Tan Secondary School, will be approved and implemented quickly this school year."
Adding motivation to education
Expectations are high for comprehensive innovation in teaching and learning methods. According to Do Huy Khanh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Phuoc An commune: The commune has many large industrial zones, is close to Long Thanh Airport and Ho Chi Minh City, and especially has the Phuoc An deep-water seaport which has started operating. This is a breakthrough development opportunity for Phuoc An, but this opportunity will only truly become a reality when the people of the commune have high-level skills, and these skills always begin with a solid foundation of general education.
Mr. Do Huy Khanh further shared: "The Phuoc An Commune Party Committee will continue to closely follow the directives, resolutions, and conclusions of the Central Committee and Dong Nai province to develop education, especially seriously implementing the spirit of the guidance of General Secretary To Lam at the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year, which took place on the morning of September 5th, to act more decisively, considering education as a sustainable and breakthrough direction for Phuoc An commune in the new phase."

Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, Rector of Lac Hong University (Tran Bien Ward), was impressed with the way the Ministry of Education and Training organized the opening ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year, especially the content of General Secretary To Lam's directive speech. The General Secretary's guiding principles in his speech were long-term, comprehensively innovative, profound, and practical. It can be considered a valuable first lesson of the new academic year for teachers nationwide, and also very valuable advice for today's young generation.
Dr. Lam Thanh Hien stated: General Secretary To Lam has pointed out very correct directions for educational reform in the new phase, which is that education needs to strongly innovate its thinking and actions, shifting from "corrective" reform to a constructive mindset - leading national development. Using quality, equity, integration, and effectiveness as benchmarks and tightening discipline in implementation through education is essential in the current situation.
