Lai Chau diversifies its tourism products.

Lai Chau has introduced many attractive new tourism products to the market, quickly becoming a 'highlight' attracting domestic and international tourists.

After three years of implementing the Resolution on the development of trade and tourism services for the period 2021-2025, Lai Chau province has developed a number of tourism products with distinctive local characteristics.

Several traditional products from Lai Chau have been introduced to the market and quickly become popular products for tourists. These include tea products from Tam Duong Tea Joint Stock Company; various types of dried meat products from Ninh Sop, Truong Ha, and Phu Truong Cooperatives; Sung Phai corn wine; traditional cakes from the Giay ethnic group in San Thang commune; and embroidered and woven brocade products from the Mong ethnic group.

In addition, there are several items that have become strong products such as macadamia nuts, cordyceps, honey, and A Sua liver medicine... which have been and continue to be popular with tourists.

The ethnic minorities come to the San Thang market not only to buy and sell goods but also to meet, socialize, and enjoy the local liquor of the Northwest mountains.

Regarding the development of tourism infrastructure and services, the system of hotels and restaurants, passenger transport services, travel services, accommodation, and shopping and entertainment services are gradually expanding and improving in quality.

Lai Chau province is continuing to call for non-budgetary investment in three projects: Lai Chau City Forest Park, Pu Sam Cap National Historical Site, and Thuy Son Lake. The construction of the Gia Khau 1 community tourism area has achieved many results in developing traditional corn wine making, brocade weaving, fruit tree cultivation, cultural services, and culinary offerings .

In 2025, Lai Chau aims to develop a socio-economic development plan with a focus on developing trade and tourism services. It encourages businesses in the tourism, accommodation, and travel sectors to strengthen tourism stimulus programs during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year).

At the same time, strengthen connections and linkages with travel businesses to form intra-city tours and intra-provincial tours from Lai Chau city to tourist destinations in Tam Duong, Sin Ho, and Nam Nhun; connect inter-provincial tours: Sa Pa - Lai Chau - Dien Bien; Hanoi - Lao Cai - Lai Chau; Hai Phong - Lao Cai - Lai Chau...
