Global gold prices are surging, heading towards their 15th peak in 2025, while the prices of SJC gold bars and gold rings are soaring. Since the beginning of March, domestic gold prices have increased by nearly 6 million VND per ounce.

At Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC), DOJI Group, and Bao Tin Minh Chau, the price of gold is listed at 94.8 million VND/ounce (buying price) and 96.1 million VND/ounce (selling price). This afternoon, the price of gold increased by 500,000 VND/ounce for buying and 300,000 VND/ounce for selling compared to the close of yesterday's trading session.
At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the buying price of SJC gold is 95.7 million VND/ounce and the selling price is 96.7 million VND/ounce. Thus, compared to yesterday's session, the price of gold increased by 200,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices.

Not only gold bars, but the prices of gold rings and 99.99% pure gold jewelry also remained at historical peaks. SJC Company bought 99.99% pure gold rings at 94.7 million VND/ounce and sold them at 96 million VND/ounce, remaining stable compared to the morning.
PNJ is selling gold rings for up to 96.5 million VND; Bao Tin Minh Chau is selling them for up to 96.8 million VND per tael, significantly higher than the price of SJC gold bars. Both gold bar and gold ring prices are currently being maintained at historically high levels by businesses.

According to Kitco, the spot price of gold in the world market at 4:00 AM Vietnam time today was $2,995.81 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 0.26% compared to yesterday. Converted using the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,768 VND/USD), the world gold price is approximately 93 million VND/ounce (excluding taxes and fees). Therefore, the price of SJC gold bars is currently 3.1 million VND/ounce higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices have surged, now sitting just below the $3,000/ounce mark that was broken last week, as attention was focused on trade tariffs and the US Federal Reserve's policy meeting.
Spot gold prices rose 0.4% to $2,994.79 an ounce at 11:26 a.m. Eastern time (1526 GMT), after hitting a record high of $3,004.86 on Friday.
The Federal Reserve will release new economic forecasts this week, providing the clearest evidence yet that the U.S. central bank is considering the potential impact of President Donald Trump's policies, which have clouded the previously solid economic outlook.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Sunday that there is no guarantee that a recession will not occur in the United States, although a correction is possible. "I expect gold prices to correct... Right now, the market is in a 'wait and see' state ahead of the Fed's decision," said David Meger, director of metals trading at High Ridge Futures.
Markets expect the US central bank to keep interest rates unchanged on Wednesday, with the next cut scheduled for June. FEDWATCH
Gold bullion, which yields no interest, is considered a hedge against risk and tends to thrive in low-interest rate environments.
Data showed US retail sales recovered less than expected in February, signaling moderate economic growth despite dampening sentiment due to import tariffs and federal employee layoffs.
Analysts at Heraeus Metals said in a note: "If economic data continues to weaken and the global trade war escalates, gold will continue to benefit."
Meanwhile, Trump said he plans to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday and discuss ending the war in Ukraine.
Spot silver prices fell 0.4% to $33.66 per ounce and palladium prices rose 0.2% to $967.44, while platinum prices increased 0.6% to $999.
