Working together in unity
Over the past period, Hai Duong City has been mobilizing various resources to improve its urban infrastructure. Many roads and streets have been renovated, upgraded, and expanded. Public recreational spaces and community cultural centers have received significant investment for expansion and improvement.
The city has gradually created more spaces for recreation, cultural activities, and entertainment for its residents by bringing the Bach Dang pedestrian street, night market, and Tue Tinh food street into operation.
Urban beautification efforts in Hai Duong City have been implemented simultaneously and effectively in recent times. Along with 10 urban beautification projects funded by the city budget, the wards and communes of Hai Duong City have also implemented more than 60 other projects. To date, over 60 urban beautification projects have been completed and put into use, including: the renovation of the green space and lighting system, drainage system, blocks, and sidewalks on Nguyen Luong Bang Street; the construction of a lighting system on Hoang Ngan Street (from Tay Phu Luong overpass to Hoang Long intersection); the renovation of the green space, blocks, and sidewalks on Ngo Quyen Street; and the renovation of the lighting system on several routes in Hai Duong City...
Besides budget resources, the city and its wards and communes have effectively promoted the spirit of cooperation between the State, the people, and businesses in building and beautifying the city. Many urban beautification projects funded through social mobilization have been completed and put into use, making the city more beautiful, such as: residents laying paving stones on sidewalks and tidying up telecommunications cable networks, clearing overhead wires on utility poles, and burying telecommunications cable systems underground on some streets.
Many businesses and organizations in the city have also proactively renovated their offices, repaired and installed decorative lighting in their premises... City authorities have coordinated with telecommunications and power companies to underground power lines and telecommunications cables.
On October 12th and 13th, the authorities and people of the wards and communes in Hai Duong City launched a campaign to clean up the environment, collect waste, and dredge canals. After being renovated and cleared of litter, combined with planting trees, the streets and alleys have become increasingly bright, green, clean, beautiful, and civilized.
Mr. Tang Van Quan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong City, said that the work of managing urban order, construction order, and urban beautification is progressing well.
The city's Party committees, government, and people have identified urban beautification as a key and ongoing task. With the involvement of the entire political system and the consensus of the people, urban beautification in Hai Duong City has achieved many results, gradually fulfilling the criteria towards a green, smart, friendly, and safe city, befitting its status as the economic, political, and cultural center of the province.

Mr. Lee Sang Soo, Director of Poongsan System Vina Co., Ltd. in Dai An Industrial Park (Hai Duong City), has lived in the Tue Tinh New Urban Area (Hai Duong City) for 5 years. Mr. Lee feels that Hai Duong City has undergone significant changes, with more spaces for community activities. The streets are spacious and green. Services catering to the spiritual needs of residents and tourists are readily available.
“I frequently play golf at the golf course in the Tuệ Tĩnh urban area. Through my experiences at the pedestrian street, Bạch Đằng night market, and enjoying some food on the Tuệ Tĩnh food street, I found it wonderful. Hải Dương City is truly an ideal place to live,” said Mr. Lee Sang Soo.
During urban renovation, local authorities always involve residents in maintaining urban order and protecting infrastructure after investment. Mr. Nguyen Danh Hung, residing in residential area No. 4, Binh Han ward, happily stated: “The urban landscape of Hai Duong City is becoming increasingly modern and civilized. The living space is greener, cleaner, and more beautiful. We residents have benefited greatly. Therefore, we residents always support and cooperate with the city authorities in maintaining environmental hygiene and ensuring urban aesthetics.”
