Lam Dong develops sports tourism.

In recent years, many new and exciting sports and physical activities have been implemented by various organizations in Lam Dong province, attracting numerous athletes and tourists alike.

Sports tourism has become a new option for tourists visiting Lam Dong.

In May 2022, the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command approved paragliding operations; and in June 2023, the Operations Department of the General Staff granted permission to the Southern Tourism Service Trading Joint Stock Company to deploy paragliding services at Con O Pass in My Duc commune, Da Huoai district.

Since then, this type of extreme sports service has been chosen by a large number of domestic and international tourists to experience whenever they visit Da Huoai district, especially on weekends, holidays, and Tet (Lunar New Year). In 2024, the former Da Teh district also organized the Lam Dong Open Paragliding Championship.

Meanwhile, despite being a novel sport and only held in Lam Dong province on April 24, 2025, the Compak Sporting Clay Shooting Spring Cup - Da Lat 2025 has already left a strong impression on both athletes and visitors.

According to Deputy Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Tuan, sports tourism was previously a small branch of tourism activities, but in recent years, it has become a new trend, developing at a rapid pace, especially with the emergence and development of major sports events, attracting a large number of athletes and flexible organization, typical of the sports competitions held in Lam Dong province in recent times.

Hosting sporting events has contributed to the strong development of local tourism. Each tournament is meticulously prepared by Lam Dong province, from infrastructure to reception, accommodation, food, and security, aiming to leave a positive impression on domestic and international visitors.
