Phu Quy Island is experiencing a sell-out, with all rooms fully booked.
Ferry tickets are selling out fast, accommodations are fully booked early, and services are ramping up to accommodate the large influx of tourists to Phu Quy Island during the most beautiful sea season of the year.

During this year's Hung Kings Commemoration Day and April 30th - May 1st holidays, Phu Quy Special Economic Zone continues to be an unmissable destination in Lam Dong province. To date, accommodation facilities are almost fully booked during peak days. An estimated 12,500 visitors are expected to arrive in Phu Quy.

Phu Quy Island has entered its most beautiful season of the year, so the tourist situation has started to get busy since the end of March. Tours and trips to the island are bustling. Guests book boats and rooms quite early. Most visitors come from Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces.
The entire special zone has 69 hotels and guesthouses with 850 rooms and more than 100 homestays. However, during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the April 30th - May 1st holidays this year, especially from April 25th to May 1st, all rooms were fully booked.

Besides train tickets and accommodation, tours and scuba diving trips in the special economic zone are also fully booked, with no more bookings possible. This is good news for the tourism industry, affirming the quality and image of the destination.

Mr. Do Minh Chuc, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Quy Special Economic Zone, said that the number of tourists registering to visit the island increased sharply about two months before the April 30th and May 1st holidays. Currently, most hotels and guesthouses on the island are fully booked. Ferry tickets to Phu Quy Island also sold out very early.

This year's holiday period lasts for several days, coinciding with the time when Phu Quy Island enters its most beautiful season. Calm seas, beautiful sunshine, and clear blue water make the island a top choice for many tourists from Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, and other southern provinces.
Many homestay owners in Phu Quy Special Economic Zone said that all rooms had been fully booked since the beginning of April. “This year, guests booked much earlier than in previous years. Some days we received dozens of calls inquiring about rooms, but we had to turn them down because we were fully booked,” shared Mr. Ngo Minh Pho, Chairman of the Phu Quy Tourism Association.

Da Lat is bustling but not overcrowded.

During this holiday season, many tourists tend to choose suburban and outlying destinations to experience spacious surroundings and a closer connection with nature.

Observations at Xuan Huong Lake and central roads such as Tran Quoc Toan, Ba Thang Hai, Nguyen Van Cu... show that while traffic density increases during morning and evening hours, vehicles still move steadily, without prolonged congestion like in previous peak years.

Notably, traffic pressure tends to decrease in the city center as many tourists choose to stay and visit suburban and surrounding areas, thereby helping to disperse traffic flow and reduce localized congestion.
Major Bui Xuan Thanh, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police and Order Team, Xuan Huong Ward Police Station - Da Lat, said: During this year's holiday, the number of private vehicles, especially cars, from other provinces and cities pouring into Da Lat has shown a clear increase, indicating that tourists mainly choose to travel by road as Lien Khuong Airport is temporarily closed.

However, thanks to proactive traffic management plans implemented early on, traffic flow on central routes remained smooth, with no prolonged congestion or localized gridlock.

"The forces have deployed officers and soldiers to be on duty continuously at key intersections, roundabouts, and routes with high traffic volume entering and exiting the city center; at the same time, they have organized traffic diversion from afar, guided vehicles to move appropriately, and supported people and tourists throughout the holiday," Major Bui Xuan Thanh informed.
Patrols, inspections, and reminders to park in accordance with regulations, as well as handling violations, have been intensified, contributing to maintaining traffic order and safety, and creating an image of a safe and friendly destination for tourists.

Besides observations from the authorities, many tourists also stated that their choice of Da Lat as a holiday destination this year stemmed from their need for relaxation, seeking a quiet space and a cool climate.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan shared: “My family chose to travel to Da Lat by private car to have more control over our itinerary. This year, it wasn't as crowded as we imagined, transportation was quite smooth, and there weren't any long traffic jams, so we felt more relaxed and were able to visit more tourist attractions in the area than in previous years.”

Meanwhile, Ms. Le Thi Hong Nhung said: “Instead of staying in the city center, we chose to stay in the suburban area to enjoy a quiet space close to nature. The tourist attractions are also not too crowded, suitable for families with young children.”
Lam Dong's beaches attract a large number of tourists.

Notably, in the Lam Dong coastal area, public beaches in Phan Thiet recorded a sharp increase in visitors throughout the holiday period from Hung Kings' Commemoration Day to April 30th - May 1st.

According to observations, thousands of people gather daily at beaches such as Doi Duong, Thuong Chanh (Phan Thiet ward), Bau Trang Mini, Tam Tan bay, or the Doi Duong - Binh Tan area (La Gi ward), creating a vibrant and bustling atmosphere. At times, the Doi Duong - Binh Tan area (La Gi ward) receives up to 5,000 visitors for sightseeing and swimming.

Not only tourists from within the province, but also many people from Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa, Tay Ninh, etc., choose Lam Dong's beaches as their holiday destination.

Public beaches have become familiar spaces for recreation and entertainment, attracting many families and groups of friends to relax and cool off.

The distribution of tourist flows between the central and suburban areas, and between urban and coastal regions, has helped reduce pressure on tourism infrastructure while expanding the visitor experience. This demonstrates the increasingly clear trend of flexible and diverse tourism in Lam Dong during peak seasons. This is especially true after Mui Ne was declared a National Tourist Area at this crucial time.
