A Lao Stream in Ta Lao village, Ta Long commune, Dakrong district, is an ideal community-based ecotourism destination that attracts many visitors for swimming and experiencing the local culture during the summer and holidays. According to Ho Thi Ngam, head of the A Lao Stream Community Tourism Cooperative, anticipating this year's tourist season, the cooperative has proactively invested over 100 million VND to renovate the site, build eight sturdy bamboo huts, decorate monkey bridges, hammocks, and check-in points, and post service price lists... all aimed at providing visitors with the best possible experience.
Besides focusing on upgrading facilities, the A Lao Stream Community Tourism Cooperative actively researches, learns, and adds more specialty dishes to its menu at various price points. They also sell some characteristic products of the Van Kieu and Pa Ko ethnic minorities at the tourist site, allowing visitors to conveniently choose and purchase them as gifts for relatives and friends when visiting and experiencing A Lao Stream.
“Currently, we have completed over 70% of the construction and will start welcoming guests at the end of March 2025. In particular, we always prioritize ensuring security and safety for tourists, while also enhancing the sense of responsibility and service attitude of the cooperative members, aiming to build a civilized, friendly, and ideal destination for tourists and locals,” Ms. Ngam added.
With a mindset of readiness for this year's peak tourist season and festivals, accommodation establishments and travel service businesses are actively introducing and promoting their products, services, tours, and routes, launching many discount and promotional programs, while committing to not increasing prices and publicly and transparently listing service prices to attract customers.

In 2024 alone, Quang Tri welcomed over 3 million tourists, including 168,000 international visitors, the highest number ever recorded, and this number is projected to increase significantly in the coming years. This is a positive sign as tourism has been identified as a key economic sector, attracting investment and creating breakthroughs to help Quang Tri transform and develop.
In order to promote the initiative and creativity of individuals and businesses in the tourism sector, in addition to providing support through mechanisms and policies, Quang Tri province has actively sought out capital sources in recent years to focus on investing in the development of tourism infrastructure; in particular, concentrating resources on developing a comprehensive, targeted, and synchronous tourism infrastructure.
In addition to leveraging support from the central government, Quang Tri province has mobilized a significant amount of capital through targeted tourism development support programs combined with local resources to focus on investing in tourism infrastructure development. Technical infrastructure serving socio-economic development and tourism in the province has received significant investment and upgrades, with many infrastructure projects completed and put into operation.
On the other hand, the province is currently investing in many new projects from various sources to quickly complete the tourism service infrastructure, creating conditions for the development of the province's coastal tourism. This includes securing investment capital from the ADB under the project "Developing tourism infrastructure to support inclusive growth in the Greater Mekong Subregion - Phase II" with a total investment of US$11.434 million.
Overcoming numerous obstacles and challenges, the tourism industry successfully completed its assigned plan for 2024, achieving social revenue of 2,400 billion VND (a 31.8% increase compared to the same period in 2023), of which specialized revenue reached 975 billion VND (a 43.3% increase compared to the same period in 2023)... This result is a crucial driving force for the tourism industry to continue its breakthrough in 2025.
