Alonso, who took over Real Madrid in June 2025 after his success at Leverkusen, said he wants to leverage technology to improve coaching effectiveness. “Drones offer a new perspective, helping us better understand how players move and interact on the pitch,” he told Marca .

This is especially important as Real Madrid prepares to face strong opponents in the FIFA Club World Cup, where every small detail can decide the outcome. Previously, coaches like Pep Guardiola have experimented with drones, but for Alonso, this is a bold first step in his career.
