A variety of exciting activities
Most recently, Dreamcatcher - one of the annual events organized by WITH Project with the aim of creating a creative and connected learning space. The event brings close and practical sharing from experienced students from many specialized and key high schools in Hanoi who have gradually passed the transition exam with effort and determination. In addition, the event also creates an interesting learning environment, where students not only review knowledge in a new way but also explore unique craft activities, make friends and interact with peers.
The program has the participation of students from 55 specialized and non-specialized schools in Hanoi. The event is part of the 5th season of the series - with four main activity areas including: Consulting Activities, Craft Activities: Expanded DIY Making, Gamezone and Teabreak - Gift Exchange Counter. With this event, WITH Project hopes to become a trusted companion, helping candidates to resolve their doubts and worries, and confidently step on the journey to conquer the 10th grade entrance exam.
Sharing with reporters from the Vietnam Law Newspaper, the event's Organizing Committee said that the pressure of the transfer exam does not only come from the scores but also from the stressful preparation journey, making both students and parents feel more worried than ever. In that context, the Dreamcatcher event has become a meaningful spiritual support for candidates in the final stage.
The program not only provides updated and accurate information about the 10th grade entrance exam, but also accompanies students through meaningful activities, helping them build smart and effective learning strategies. Here, students have the opportunity to explore themselves, practice their skills and access useful advice from seniors. Dreamcatcher is not simply an exam review event, but a journey of support - helping students enter the exam with a more confident, proactive and steady mindset than ever.
Last March, the Science Fair 2025 took place. With the theme “Pixaverse”, students from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted brought visual and engaging science experiences to 3,000 participants. Science Fair is a non-profit science fair organized annually by the Society of Open Science - a science club under Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. After 8 seasons of events, the fair has become a familiar destination for the community of young people passionate about science throughout the city. This year, the fair was inspired by Disneyland. The Science Fair Organizing Committee hopes to recreate a “science amusement park”, bringing useful learning and playing experiences along with family bonding activities.
This year's fair is the first time the Organizing Committee has expanded its scale to venues outside of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. With 7 diverse sections ranging from experiments to practical activities, the Science Fair offers participants a comprehensive approach to the colorful world of science, spanning many fields and in many different forms.

The Science Fair at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted has become a familiar “address” for students who are passionate about learning about the diverse and rich world of science. In particular, through the fair, primary and secondary school students can visit Amsterdam School and be motivated to study well with the desire to pass the entrance exam to this specialized school.
In fact, at the end of March and the beginning of April, schools have activities and fairs open to parents and students to participate, have fun and learn about the school. This is a way to help high school students be active and practice their skills before entering the threshold of 18 years old. In addition, thanks to the interesting and dynamic experiences at schools, many parents and students have chosen a learning environment, nurturing their passion during the three years of high school.
Leave meaningful experiences for students
Faced with the pressure of the 10th grade entrance exam, middle school students have many concerns and questions at the threshold of life. The Dreamcatcher event has partly answered their worries. At the same time, with a series of interesting entertainment booths, participants can play games, make handicrafts, share learning knowledge, etc. The event left happy echoes for participants, especially students who are preparing to enter the transition exam.
During the Dreamcatcher event, Le Bao Chau (9A3, Ngo Si Lien Secondary School) excitedly shared: “I saw that the seniors were cheerful, sociable and friendly. During the stressful exam preparation days, participating in the event helped me relax but still not neglect my studies. I myself participated in the Gamezone area and was both entertained with interesting games and reviewed my knowledge through those useful games.”
Nguyen Duc Quang (9A5, Van Dien Town Secondary School) said that he received enthusiastic advice from seniors at many high schools. From there, he was able to evaluate his own aspirations. At the same time, he was supported by the consulting team to build an effective study plan for the final months before the exam.
This year's science fair at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted attracted more than 3,000 students and parents from many places in Hanoi. The fair featured many interesting and practical scientific activities such as virtual reality technology applications, scientific experiments in balls, etc. All of which were meticulously and carefully researched by the students in the school before organizing the fair.

Tran Phan Dieu Huong (grade 11 Russian, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted) - Co-Head of the Organizing Committee shared: “In the past 2 months, nearly 150 members of the Organizing Committee have worked together to outline the program, come up with ideas for event decoration, ask for funding, as well as search for and build experimental models for the event day. The process of preparing for the fair is an opportunity for us to improve both our expertise and event organization skills, and we have been able to connect and discuss with young people who share a passion for science throughout the city. The greatest success for us is the support of everyone, especially young people and parents. This is a huge motivation for us to continue to strive to improve and bring about the next breakthrough event seasons.”
Currently, the 2018 general education program is being applied synchronously, enhancing practice and capacity assessment. This requires students to be more comprehensively prepared in both knowledge and skills. In addition to cultural subjects at school, students pay attention to improving themselves through extracurricular activities. Therefore, activities organized by students are being supported by schools, making efforts to support students to carry out. Thanks to fairs and events organized by students, parents and schools can evaluate students' practical ability after class hours. From there, there are ways to adjust and promote students' abilities, strengths, and advantages.
In particular, events organized by students themselves leave behind in the organization, participants experience beautiful and exciting student memories. Students have memorable moments connecting with friends and teachers. Moreover, for primary and secondary school students, science fairs, events and exhibitions of schools can be the "key" to open up their future direction. Therefore, the model of students organizing festivals and events should be focused on and supported by schools to help them realize their ideas.
