Speak frankly - resolve quickly.
Under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Ho Quang Buu, the September startup community meeting, themed "Promoting market development and prioritizing the application of innovative startup products in Da Nang City," recorded dozens of opinions and suggestions from business representatives.
In the frank and open spirit of the meeting, businesses boldly raised their difficulties, aspirations, and proposed solutions for the city leaders to support and resolve.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Hao, Director of Da Nang Mechanical and Automation Solutions Company, shared that he learned about the program to meet with city leaders through a friend. Currently, his company is leasing land in three different areas of Da Nang city to develop mechanical and automation facilities.
However, due to rapid urbanization and increasingly dense residential areas, these production facilities are no longer suitable for their current location. Mr. Hao expressed his desire for the city to facilitate the rental of a new space larger than 500 square meters so that he can relocate and stabilize his production.
Business representatives also frankly raised the difficulties in resolving procedures and implementing projects. Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Hoa, Director of Long Hoa Vegetarian Food Co., Ltd., stated: “Before the merger of Quang Nam and Da Nang, my company received a decision to lease land in Thanh Ha Industrial Cluster ( Hoi An ), but to date, we have been unable to contact them regarding the land lease and have received no information on how to resolve the issue.”

Meanwhile, a furniture business based in Huong Tra ward reported difficulties in completing business registration procedures and other related business processes, requiring multiple trips during the operation of the two-tiered local government system.
The issues raised by businesses were addressed and specifically guided by representatives from relevant departments and agencies during the program. Mr. Nguyen Tan Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, suggested that businesses contact their subordinate units for guidance on procedures and land lease locations.
Representatives from the City People's Committee Office suggested that Da Nang Mechanical and Automation Solutions Company explore suitable land plots in several technology clusters within the city to locate its production facility.
Following the information from the representative of Long Hoa Vegetarian Food Co., Ltd., Mr. Nguyen Tan Hai requested a direct meeting with the business owner to find ways to support a solution. The representative of the Department of Finance committed to reviewing and checking the procedures to prevent similar problems from occurring again.
Representatives from the department also stated that handling administrative procedures for citizens and businesses will be faster and more convenient when the city implements the one-level Public Administrative Service Center model.
Technology companies offer suggestions.
In line with the theme "Promoting market development and prioritizing the application of innovative startup products," at the meeting, many businesses proposed that the City People's Committee and relevant departments and agencies boldly "experiment" with and apply startup products, especially in the fields of digital transformation and AI.

This initiative is seen as a pioneering step to affirm the government's confidence, while also opening up opportunities for innovative products to quickly access the market and spread throughout the community.
Mr. Trinh Cong Duy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DTG Technology Investment Company (Digital Twin Group), said that DTG is a pioneer in developing digital twin and AI technology solutions in Da Nang. The company hopes that the city will allow it to pilot the technologies within its ecosystem in one or two localities.
“We believe that the city's digital replica is not a product but the ultimate goal of the digital transformation process. This is a long process, not something that can be achieved overnight, requiring the city's collaboration, prioritization, and support. In the future, we hope the city will create conditions for us to participate and pilot projects related to this field. We are ready to partner with the city's digital transformation ecosystem,” Mr. Duy said.
In addition, representatives from various businesses proposed many new ideas and expressed their desire to collaborate with the city in addressing major local challenges related to high-tech agriculture, smart tourism, urban management, the environment, and digital transformation.
Notably, there were many ideas aimed at developing science and technology and digital transformation. For example, proposals included using Pisen power storage devices to support commune and ward administrative centers operating 24/7 to overcome power outages and shortages in mountainous areas; piloting business tokenization at the International Finance Center to attract capital; and organizing an AI competition to attract technology companies to solve city problems, as well as the Zalo Mini App solution for public administration units.
"Joining hands" to apply Blockchain technology to agriculture.
Within the framework of the startup community meeting program, delegates heard representatives from RiseGate JSC share solutions for applying Blockchain technology in implementing household farming and cultivation models to serve high-quality agriculture. In addition, representatives from Lac Son Agricultural Cooperative (Son Loc village, Que Son commune, Da Nang city) introduced the "Lac Son Online Farm" project, aiming to connect agricultural products with the consumer market through a digital platform. At the event, the two units signed a cooperation agreement, opening a new step in applying Blockchain technology to agriculture, thereby improving the quality of agricultural products and promoting sustainable development.
In this era of booming science and technology, the business community has proposed that the city establish a Da Nang Ideas Page to receive projects and ideas that will serve the city's development.
Regarding the city leaders' desire for effective AI application, technology companies stated that if the city provides the "challenge," the business community will be ready to work together to solve it.
Mr. Le Son Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, said that the department is advising on the implementation of practical support mechanisms and policies to create favorable conditions for startup businesses to bring their products to market, especially through the city's public procurement and ordering programs.
The Department is compiling proposals and needs from departments, sectors, and localities regarding the application of AI; from there, it will connect with businesses to create products that contribute to solving socio-economic development problems in the localities.
According to Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vice Chairman Ho Quang Buu, the Resolution of the First Congress of the City Party Committee (2025-2030 term) has set a target of having "500 innovative startup businesses" by 2030. This emphasizes the importance of supporting innovative startups to achieve this goal.
Mr. Ho Quang Buu suggested that the Department of Science and Technology and other relevant departments and agencies strengthen coordination, resolve obstacles, and create a favorable environment for businesses to develop.
At the same time, relevant units need to advise the city on issuing and perfecting support mechanisms and policies to create conditions for startups to participate more deeply in the supply chain and expand their domestic and international markets. The ultimate goal is to gradually transform Da Nang into a center for innovative startups in the Central region.
Organize an online AI competition.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Toan, Director of the Da Nang Innovation and Startup Support Center, said that in October 2025, the center plans to collaborate with various organizations and businesses to organize an online AI competition in a socialized format. The aim of the competition is to find the best AI applications in fields such as urban planning, tourism, and public administration, in order to advise the city on pilot programs. Currently, the Center has been conducting surveys and gathering feedback on AI application needs, thereby formulating practical problems for the domestic and international technology community to participate in solving.
