Having endured suffering and loss, rising from the ruins and devastation caused by natural disasters, Lang Nu village has been transformed with renewed hope for a better future.

After three months of construction, 40 houses in the Lang Nu resettlement area, along with supporting facilities for the community, have been completed. Residents are now cleaning up and moving their belongings to their new homes.

Despite the cold of the winter days, the people of Nu Village smiled with excitement as they celebrated the inauguration of their new homes after many days of anticipation.

Nguyen Van Diet (31 years old) shared that everyone in the village has regained their cheerful and enthusiastic mood. People in the area are helping each other move belongings and clean their houses to prepare for the inauguration ceremony tomorrow, December 15th.

According to Ms. Vu Thi Tu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Phuc Khanh commune, after the completion of 40 houses, the commune called on officials, civil servants, and people from other villages to come to the Lang Nu resettlement area to clean up, sanitize, and improve the landscape there.

According to Mr. Hoang Quoc Bao, Secretary of the Bao Yen District Party Committee, the people of Nu Village are very excited about moving to their new homes. The villagers have held meetings and agreed on several points and regulations to develop the resettlement area into a model residential area that preserves cultural identity and creates a happy village.

Mr. Bao added that the inauguration ceremony for the Lang Nu resettlement area will be held tomorrow (December 15th) at the community cultural center's courtyard.

In addition, the district will also hold a ceremony to offer incense at the memorial monument, commemorating the people of Nu Village who perished in the devastating flash flood last September.

Lao Cai Party Secretary sets inauguration date for Lang Nu Ca resettlement area . After a period of rapid construction, all three resettlement areas in Bao Yen and Bac Ha districts (Lao Cai province) are now nearing completion. Lao Cai Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong has officially set the inauguration date.
