Leaders of Binh Thuan province visit Truong Sa.

From May 5th to 10th, 2023, the working group of Military Region 7, led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Commander of Military Region 7, visited the region.

In Binh Thuan province, Comrade Phan Van Dang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nam, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department; Comrade Nguyen Phu Hoang, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association; and Lieutenant Colonel Tran Dong Thanh, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, visited and encouraged officers, soldiers, and people on the Truong Sa archipelago and the DK1 platform.

During a voyage of nearly 1,000 nautical miles, the KN-290 vessel of the 2nd Fisheries Surveillance Squadron brought a delegation to visit officers, soldiers, and people on the islands of Sinh Ton Dong, Len Dao, Da Tay C, Truong Sa, and the DK-1/11 (Tu Chinh) platform.
At the islands and offshore platforms, the units reported to the working group on regularly welcoming and assisting ships and fishermen from Binh Thuan who come to fish in the managed area, providing fresh water, food, emergency medical care, examination and treatment, and shelter from storms.
This provides a solid foundation for fishermen to venture out to sea and maintain their livelihoods.
Here, Comrade Phan Van Dang and members of the delegation met with, encouraged, and presented gifts to the officers and soldiers who are sons and daughters of Binh Thuan province and who have the honor of joining the army and people of the whole country in protecting the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland. They were honored to be here.
Officers and soldiers from Binh Thuan province pledged to the provincial leaders that they will always overcome difficulties and unite to successfully complete their tasks. This is not only an honor and responsibility for each officer and soldier, but also represents the joint efforts of the military and people of Binh Thuan in safeguarding the sea, islands, and continental shelf of the Fatherland.

On this occasion, the leaders of Binh Thuan province presented many gifts to the units on the islands and to 30 officers and soldiers from Binh Thuan who are serving on Truong Sa, Sinh Ton Dong, Len Dao, Da Tay C islands and the DK1/11 platform.
