Lao Cai: 1 student entered the national finals of the VOAI 2025 Artificial Intelligence Competition

Nguyen Anh Minh participated in the preliminary round in Hanoi .

The VOAI Artificial Intelligence Competition is a national intellectual playground, organized to promote the movement of learning, creative research, developing teamwork skills, programming thinking and international integration for high school students nationwide in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). This is a practical activity contributing to the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo , which identifies AI as one of the breakthrough spearheads in digital transformation and national science and technology development.

This year, VOAI attracted many students from high schools nationwide to participate and selected the 99 best candidates to enter the national final round which will take place on June 1.

After rigorous selection rounds, Nguyen Anh Minh ranked 17th out of 99 candidates selected for the final round.

Nguyen Anh Minh achieved many high achievements in his studies.

At the national final round, contestants competed to select the Vietnamese AI team to participate in the International Olympiad in Informatics and Artificial Intelligence (IOAI 2025) held in Beijing, China in August 2025.

It is known that in the 2024-2025 school year, Nguyen Anh Minh won the third national prize in Informatics at the National Excellent Student Competition.

The field of artificial intelligence has not been officially taught in the general education program. Nguyen Anh Minh's proactive research and achievement of outstanding results in a new, interdisciplinary and complex field like AI demonstrates the excellent self-study spirit, passion for discovery and international integration of Lao Cai students.
