Lao Cai spends 48.5 billion VND

The resolution stipulating no tuition fees for the 2024-2025 school year for preschool children, public secondary school students, and students studying at continuingeducation institutions following the general education program in Lao Cai province was passed on the morning of November 9.

The Resolution was passed at the 23rd Session to resolve the arising work of the 16th Lao Cai Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term. Accordingly, in the 2024-2025 school year, Lao Cai will not collect tuition fees for children, students, and trainees at the above levels who must pay tuition fees according to the provisions of Resolution No. 09/2024/NQ-HDND dated July 5, 2024 of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Council stipulating the tuition fees for the 2024-2025 school year for public preschool and general education institutions in Lao Cai province.

The estimated cost of support from the provincial budget is 48.5 billion VND.

According to Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Lao Cai Province Vu Xuan Cuong, storm No. 3 and its circulation have caused serious damage to people and property in the province. Many households have lost people, homes, and property, making life very difficult.

Therefore, the proposal to issue a Resolution stipulating no tuition fees for the 2024-2025 school year for preschool children, public primary school students and students studying at continuing education institutions following the general education program in Lao Cai province is very necessary and timely, contributing to reducing difficulties for parents and students in disaster-hit areas in Lao Cai province.

In addition, the Session passed a Resolution on land support policy for ethnic minorities in Lao Cai province; Resolution on supporting medical examination and treatment costs for Lao Cai provincial officials under the management of the Central, Provincial Party Committee, District Party Committee, Town Party Committee, City Party Committee and some other subjects; Resolution on the policy of converting forest use purposes to other purposes; Resolution on the list of works and projects requiring land recovery and conversion of land use purposes for socio -economic development for national and public interests in Lao Cai province, supplemented in 2024...

To synchronously and effectively implement the Resolutions passed at the session, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Council Vu Xuan Cuong requested the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee and departments, branches and sectors under the Provincial People's Committee, relevant agencies and organizations to prepare conditions to ensure timely and effective implementation; fully inform voters in the province about the results of the session in appropriate forms; inspect, urge and supervise the organization and implementation of the Resolutions.
