A working group has been established to inspect the contractor selection process for the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway.

(PLVN) - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested the Ministry of Finance to coordinate with the Ministry of Construction to establish an inter-ministerial working group to inspect the contractor selection process for the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway section passing through Binh Phuoc province. The inspection must be completed and reported to the Prime Minister before June 10, 2025.

The Government Office recently issued document No. 4755/VPCP-CN conveying the directive of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha regarding the selection of contractors for the construction package of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway Project (section through Binh Phuoc province).

Regarding the selection of contractors for the highway construction package of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway Project (section through Binh Phuoc province), with the Binh Phuoc Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board as the investor, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has issued specific instructions.

The Deputy Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Finance to take the lead and coordinate with the Ministry of Construction to immediately establish an inter-ministerial working group to inspect the contractor selection process for this tender package.

The inspection will cover: the tender documents, the results of the bid evaluation, the handling and resolution of complaints during the bidding process, the competence and experience of the expert team, and other necessary matters.

The inspection process must ensure fairness, objectivity, transparency, and economic efficiency. At the same time, it must uphold the correct principles in implementing the policy of maximum decentralization to localities: "local authorities decide, local authorities act, local authorities are responsible," but this must be coupled with timely inspection and supervision.

Complete the inspection and report to the Prime Minister before June 10, 2025.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province to closely coordinate with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Construction in the implementation of the task; and to direct the investor, the bidding party, and the expert team to report and provide timely and complete documents and information.
