Cagliari fans who peeked out of the windows of buildings surrounding the Unipol Domus stadium had to pull their curtains down less than 10 minutes into the match.
The fault lies with the young man from Bahia Blanca, Argentina: every time he sees the red and blue colors of Cagliari, he remembers himself as "Toro" (bull) and mercilessly rams through the net.

He has scored in 12 matches against Cagliari. He is Lautaro Martinez. His latest goal opened the scoring in Inter Milan's second consecutive victory under coach Cristian Chivu.
Inter built their opening goal using the same old formula, with familiar faces: a series of quick passes initiated from their own half, Bastoni advancing down the left wing to cross the ball for Lautaro to head home from close range.
Lautaro scored his second goal in Serie A 2025/26, after more than a month without scoring. This was also his 117th goal for the Nerazzurri – moving him up to 5th place on the list of Inter's greatest goalscorers in history.
Here, there's a detail that few people notice: the situation stemmed from Chivu's direct instructions.
When the home team was awarded a throw-in in Inter's half, the Romanian coach personally took the ball and gave it to Akanji, signaling Luis Henrique to push forward and find space. The visiting team launched their attack from the right wing, switching to and fully exploiting their strongest attacking trio there: Carlos Augusto – Barella – Bastoni. Lautaro handled the rest.

The 2-0 goal in the final minutes also came from the left wing, this time Dimarco delivered a dangerous low cross, allowing Esposito to easily tap the ball into the empty net.
That was Pio Esposito's first goal in Serie A, witnessed by his father in the stands, capping off a sweet night for Inter.
This result allowed Inter to overtake both Cagliari and Atalanta – who drew 1-1 with Juventus – to move up to 5th place in the standings.
Inter fans hope their team finds stability from this victory. Looking ahead, Lautaro Martinez and his teammates are confident of securing three points in their Champions League match against Slavia Prague (2 AM on October 1st).
Scored: Lautaro 9', Esposito 82'.
