Join author Dao Cong Quynh in exploring the traditional wedding attire of the Dao Lo Gang people through the photo series "Dao Lo Gang Wedding Ceremony". This series was submitted by the author to the "Happy Vietnam" photo and video contest, organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications .
The traditional clothing of the Dao Lo Gang people is distinguished by its yellow and orange hues, along with motifs of birds and pine trees. The embroidery is unique, using five basic colors, primarily red. According to the Dao Lo Gang people's beliefs, red brings happiness, good fortune, and generates positive energy.
Dao Lo Gang women wear embroidered aprons adorned with silver stars, white belts embroidered with black branch patterns, and headdresses shaped like roofs, wrapped with colorful beaded strings.
To welcome the bride's family, two musicians in formal attire played cheerful songs, celebrating the new bride's arrival and blessing the family.
The traditional rituals and unique costumes in the weddings of the Dao Lo Gang ethnic group have created a distinctive cultural identity for the people in Ba Che, Quang Ninh.
