On February 29th (the 20th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Dragon), the People's Committee of Trieu Son district organized the traditional festival of Nua Temple - Am Tien, Spring of the Year of the Dragon 2024.

The traditional Nưa Temple - Am Tiên Festival begins with rituals: carrying water from the Fairy Well and the Am Tiên sacred site to Nưa Temple, Nghè Giáp Shrine, and Nưa Town Stadium; and a procession of palanquins from Nưa Temple and Nghè Giáp Shrine to the Nưa Town Stadium, the center of the sacrificial altar area. Leading the procession is a lion dance troupe, accompanied by a gong and drum ensemble. Following them are the drum ensemble, flag teams, the mountain village offering tray team, the traditional eight-instrument ensemble, palanquin teams, boats, hammocks, and those carrying the eight precious weapons; the ceremonial team, the female soldiers, militia accompanying the sacred animal, the farmers' team, and officials and elders following the procession.

Next came the drum performance and flag dance, and the gong performance, recalling the origins of the land and people of Tan Ninh - Co Dinh. After the opening drumbeat, the ceremonial announcement took place. Immediately after the opening rituals, delegates and a large number of people and tourists from all over performed the incense offering ceremony at the altar and requested blessings, commemorating the merits of their ancestors and national heroes, and praying for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, bountiful harvests, and peace and happiness for all families.

Nua Temple - Am Tien is a famous historical and cultural site and scenic spot of significant historical and cultural importance, having been classified as a national-level historical and cultural site. In 248, at Ngan Nua, General Trieu Thi Trinh recruited soldiers, raised the banner of rebellion, drove out the Wu invaders, and achieved glorious victories in the struggle against the feudal rule of the North, writing heroic chapters in the history of our nation's struggle against foreign invaders. Following the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source," after the death of General Trieu Thi Trinh, the people of the region erected a temple and annually organize a traditional festival to commemorate and express gratitude for her contributions.
The traditional Nua Temple - Am Tien Festival, Spring of the Year of the Dragon 2024, is an opportunity for future generations to recall the glorious history and heroic, resilient, and indomitable traditions of our nation; to express gratitude and commemorate the contributions of the national heroine Trieu Thi Trinh, our ancestors, and the heroic martyrs who bravely sacrificed themselves for the independence and freedom of the nation. This is also an important foundation for promoting tourism development and showcasing the beauty of Trieu Son's land and people to the entire country.
