This year's April 30th and May 1st holidays coincide with a period of extreme heat, making mountains with cooler climates a popular destination for many tourists. In particular, the consistently cool and fresh air on the summit of Mount Ba Den makes it an unmissable destination for visitors during this holiday.
Temperatures at the summit of Mount Ba Den are typically 8 to 10 degrees Celsius lower than at the foot of the mountain. Therefore, it has become a great place for recreation, escaping the heat, and also an ideal spot for cloud watching.

Early in the morning, the summit of Ba Den Mountain is often covered in beautiful white clouds. Fascinating cloud formations constantly appear on the mountaintop, such as mushroom-shaped clouds, sea of clouds, and thin layers of mist that hang hazy around the statue of the Goddess of Mercy on Tay Bo Da Son Mountain, descending to the large square, covering the trees, flower roots, and even the world's largest sandstone statue of the Maitreya Buddha. This creates a stunning and magical natural landscape for Ba Den Mountain.
Leading up to the April 30th and May 1st holidays, the flag-raising ceremony at Ba Den Mountain is held every Monday morning until the end of the holiday period (i.e., on April 7th, 14th, 21st, and 30th).
