University admission cutoff score announcement schedule 2023

Before 5 PM on August 22nd, universities will announce the 2023 university admission scores and results. Candidates should note this to receive their admission results and enroll on the system within the specified timeframe.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, universities will announce the 2023 university admission scores and selection results no later than August 22nd.

This year, more than one million students nationwide are taking the high school graduation exam, of which approximately 917,700 have registered to use their exam results for both high school graduation and university admission.

Immediately after the announcement of the 2023 high school graduation exam results, the Ministry of Education and Training also released a detailed statistical breakdown of the exam score distribution for each subject combination used for university and college admissions this year.

According to experts, the distribution of scores this year will basically remain stable compared to last year and will not fluctuate significantly. This will not cause major disruption for candidates and parents, nor to the university admissions process.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, as of the closing time of the online registration portal - the end of July 30th, the Ministry's admissions system recorded a total of over 660,000 candidates who had entered their application preferences, with 3.4 million preferences in total, equivalent to 66% of the number of candidates registering for the 2023 high school graduation exam.

The cut-off scores will be announced before 5 PM on August 22nd.

From August 12th to 5 PM on August 20th, training institutions will coordinate with relevant units to review data on the system, then upload the data and admission information to organize the selection process for registered candidates.

The process of filtering out ineligible candidates and processing their applications will be carried out six times on the system and will conclude on the afternoon of August 20th.

Before 5 PM on September 6th, all admitted candidates must confirm their enrollment online through the system. Candidates who do not confirm their enrollment will have to wait for the supplementary admission rounds of the universities.

For candidates admitted under the direct admission scheme as stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training, from July 5th to 5 PM on August 15th, candidates can confirm their enrollment on the system.

Candidates who have confirmed their enrollment will not be allowed to register for subsequent admission preferences, except in cases where the principal or director of the training institution permits them not to enroll.

In cases where enrollment has not yet been decided, candidates can continue to register their admission preferences on the system or the National Public Service Portal like other candidates. If admitted, candidates will confirm their enrollment according to the general schedule.

From September 7th to December 2023, candidates wishing to apply for supplementary admission rounds at educational institutions should follow the admission plan published on the schools' admission information websites.

Educational institutions must report accurate and complete enrollment results for 2023 on the system before December 31st.
