Due to the workday swap, the National Day holiday on September 2nd, 2026, will last for 5 consecutive days, from August 29th to September 2nd.

According to the Ministry of Interior , for the National Day holiday on September 2nd, 2026, workers will have two days off, September 1st and September 2nd.

However, due to the workday swap, this holiday lasts for 5 consecutive days from August 29th to September 2nd (including the two weekend days, i.e., from Saturday to Wednesday of the following week).

This holiday schedule applies to government officials, civil servants, and public employees. Businesses are also encouraged to follow this schedule.

The Ministry of Interior also clarified that agencies and units that do not follow a fixed Saturday and Sunday weekly holiday schedule will base their holiday arrangements on the specific programs and plans of their respective units, in accordance with the law.
