According to recent leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may soon be released with a clearer launch schedule and sales date. Although the South Korean tech giant has not yet made an official confirmation, international sources are continuously updating timelines related to the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event.
Specifically, Dealabs, a website specializing in tracking retail information in Europe, stated that this year's Galaxy Unpacked event may take place at 7 PM on February 25th (Central European Time). Converted to other time zones, this corresponds to 1 AM on February 26th in Vietnam. This is the first time a specific time for the launch event has been mentioned in recent rumors.
Not only did Dealabs mention the announcement date, but they also suggested that sales in Europe could begin on March 11th. If true, the gap between the launch date and the release date would be within 14-16 days, a timeframe Samsung typically uses for previous Galaxy S generations. However, it's noteworthy that March 11th falls on a Wednesday, while the company usually chooses Fridays for its launch dates.
Although the information mentioned above only refers to the European market, flagship models in the Galaxy S series in recent years have typically launched simultaneously globally. Therefore, observers are still questioning whether the March 11th date will also apply to the US and many other markets.
Besides the launch schedule, the pricing of the Galaxy S26 Ultra has also attracted attention. Following numerous reports from South Korean media, Samsung executives have publicly acknowledged that a price increase is possible. Speaking to Reuters at CES 2026, Samsung Electronics™ CEO Roh stated that "no company is immune" to memory shortages and rising component prices, and did not rule out adjusting product prices.
ET News reports that Samsung is considering raising prices by 44,000-88,000 won ( US$ 30-60) per version. If converted to US dollars, the Galaxy S26 series could reach approximately US$859 , US$1,059 , and US$1,359 for the standard, Plus, and Ultra versions, respectively.
Besides the price, ET News also mentioned the possibility that Samsung might cut back on familiar pre-order incentives such as the free storage upgrade program. This could directly impact the promotional strategy, which is a strength of the South Korean tech giant, especially for users waiting to get the best price on the Galaxy S26 Ultra during the launch period.
