I met Mr. Nguyen Thanh Em (Group 4, My Nam village) while he and his neighbors were clearing away the rubble from a fence they had voluntarily dismantled. This project was worth over 40 million VND.

"Everyone asks me if I feel bad about the loss? Of course I do! But when I think about the improved roads, cars being able to reach the alleyways, and my children and grandchildren returning home from working far away no longer having to endure the mud and dust, that feeling of regret pales in comparison," Mr. Em confided.

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thanh (84 years old) shared: “I donated 25 meters of my fence and gate. My house is located near a hill, the road is low, and it floods whenever it rains. When the local authorities campaigned to widen the road, I was the first to respond so that my children and grandchildren would follow suit.”

Land is limited, but when the people's hearts are open, all boundaries fade away to make way for the future. Old walls are torn down, opening up spacious areas for the countryside. In the future, on the old land, wide concrete roads will appear thanks to the policy of "the State and the people working together."

To unleash that potential, credit must be given to the "captains" of My Nam. The Party Secretary of Le Van Co village always dedicates his heart and soul to rural and inter-field transportation routes.

Mr. Co said: "The people here live by farming, their lives are stable but not yet prosperous. Spending tens of millions of dong on a gate is a huge effort. Therefore, when campaigning, we used sincerity and empathy. Once the people understood and trusted us, everything went smoothly."

The 630-meter-long road through Hamlet 4 is now not just a transportation project, but the result of the collective efforts of more than 50 households, including 20 households who voluntarily dismantled their permanent structures, with the estimated total value of relocated assets exceeding 400 million VND.

From 2022 to the present, thanks to sound policies and the involvement of the entire political system, My Nam has reinforced approximately 1,500 meters of rural roads and nearly 1,900 meters of field roads. This achievement bears the mark of Party members who have always been closely connected to the lives of the people. And above all, it is the unity and enthusiastic participation of the people in building their homeland.
