Selected 41 excellent works for awards

Accordingly, in the past time, the press and propaganda activities of the province have always closely followed the political tasks, always accompanied the Party Committee, the government, and the people of all ethnic groups in the province on the journey of innovation and development. The press system has been consolidated and developed in both quantity and quality with 03 provincial press agencies, 12 central press agencies with representative offices, resident reporters and nearly 300 journalists, reporters, and editors.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Huy Tuan awarded the A prize of the Yen Bai Provincial Press Award 2024 to author Giang Du (Yen Bai Radio and Television Station) and author Pham Quang Thieu (Yen Bai Newspaper).

Promoting the vanguard role on the Party's ideological front, Yen Bai press has affirmed its true role as an effective tool, an important force, a vanguard, a pioneer on the ideological front, propagating and implementing political tasks, reflecting truthfully, vividly, and comprehensively the socio -economic picture of the province, closely following reality, bringing the breath of life through an official and effective flow of information.

The quality of press activities is increasingly improved, the position and brand of the press and the team of journalists in Yen Bai are increasingly affirmed. Many of the best works, with the highest ideological value, are honored and rewarded at the Central and provincial press awards, all of which are works that meet professional standards, innovation and creativity.

Also on this occasion, the province organized the Yen Bai Press Awards 2024. This is an activity to honor outstanding press works about the land and people of Yen Bai. Continuing the tradition of many years, this year's Yen Bai Press Awards attracted the participation of journalists from 11 units and press agencies with 125 works; including 40 television works, 20 radio works, 47 print works and 18 photojournalistic works. Thereby, 41 excellent works were selected for awards.

With a diversity of topics, rich content and forms of expression, the works submitted to the Award have closely followed the mainstream news of the country and the province; exploited issues in depth, multi-dimensionally, closely followed reality, accurately, accurately and promptly reflected issues occurring in real life.

In particular, many works have boldly mentioned the negative aspects, shortcomings, and problems, clearly demonstrating the authors' dedication, the diligence, enthusiasm, and sense of responsibility of writers and press agencies. Many works are highly critical, proposing thorough, scientifically-based, and feasible solutions to outstanding problems.

As a result, 2 A prizes of the Yen Bai Press Award 2024 were awarded to the television work "The story of the forest ranger at the source of Che Tao" by the group of authors Giang Du, Nguyen Hoang, Anh Tuan, A Lu (Provincial Radio and Television Station) and the written work "Building a quality source of inheritance for the Party - Yen Bai's way of doing it" by author Quang Thieu (Yen Bai Newspaper). The Organizing Committee also awarded 8 B prizes, 12 C prizes and 19 Encouragement prizes to outstanding press works participating in the Award. There were no A prizes in the radio and photojournalism categories this year.

On this occasion, 10 members of the Provincial Journalists Association received the Medal for the Cause of Vietnamese Journalism; 3 collectives and 17 individuals with outstanding achievements in professional activities and Association work in 2023 received certificates of merit from the Provincial Journalists Association.
