According to Athletic , the English centre-back is among six players who are being sold by Man City. Along with the former Everton star, there are also Nico O'Reilly, Mateo Kovacic, Ilkay Gundogan, Claudio Echeverri and Oscar Bobb. However, the possibility of Bobb leaving is quite low because this player had to miss the entire last season due to injury.

Stones made just 11 Premier League appearances last season as he struggled with foot and hamstring injuries. City signed Abdukodir Khusanov in January to gradually replace Stones.

The English star joined Man City in the summer of 2016 for a fee of £47.5 million. After 277 appearances, Stones scored 19 goals for the Etihad team and won a series of major and minor titles.

Man City have been very active in the transfer market. The team has successfully recruited new players such as Tijjani Reinders, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Rayan Cherki, for a total fee of more than 150 million pounds.

On the other hand, Man City wants to offload many players to reduce the wage bill. Recently, Kyle Walker left Man City to join Burnley, while Kevin De Bruyne also moved to Napoli.

Man City will play a pre-season friendly against Palermo on August 9. Fans of the team may witness more personnel changes before the season starts.
