Man City narrowly beat Championship side

Despite taking an early 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Lucas Vazquez, Mbappe, and Rodrigo, Real Madrid conceded two consecutive goals to Alaves in the 85th and 86th minutes. In the final minutes of the match, Los Blancos had to work hard to maintain their lead and secure the victory.

In England, Man City fielded a number of young players when they hosted Championship side Watford in the League Cup. Pep Guardiola's men maintained their possession-based style of play and scored two goals through Doku and Matheus Nunes.

Despite scoring an equalizer in the final minutes, Watford were unable to pull off an upset. Man City ultimately won the match 2-1.
