What is it about Mang Den that attracts so many tourists?

During the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025, tourists from all over flocked to Mang Den town, Kon Plong district (Kon Tum province), causing many roads to become congested and hotels and guesthouses to be fully booked.

According to observations by Thanh Nien reporters, hotels, guesthouses, and homestays in Mang Den town (Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province) were fully booked during the Lunar New Year holiday of 2025 due to the large number of tourists who chose Mang Den as their holiday destination.

A homestay owner in Mang Den said that guests booked rooms months in advance, and all rooms were fully booked during the Lunar New Year holiday. Many tourists inquired but there were no rooms available for rent. The demand for accommodation in Mang Den during this year's Tet holiday is much higher than in previous years.

"This year, the peach blossoms bloomed right around Tet (Lunar New Year), so there were a lot of tourists coming to Mang Den. Hotels, guesthouses, and homestays here were all fully booked, and some tourists had to go to Kon Tum City to stay," this person added.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) chose Mang Den as his Tet holiday destination because of its beautiful weather and picturesque scenery. Especially this year, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, making Mang Den an ideal place for his family to enjoy the spring festivities.

"This year's spring trip to Mang Den was very satisfying and enjoyable. The cherry blossoms here are in full bloom and look beautiful, just like being in Japan. The weather here is cool and pleasant, perfect for families to relax after a tiring year of work," said Mr. Hung.

Meanwhile, Ms. Tran Thi Hue (from Da Nang City) and her friends were surprised by the fresh air and incredibly impressive scenery when they visited Mang Den during the Lunar New Year holiday.

"This is my first time in Mang Den, and I'm incredibly impressed with this place. The cherry blossoms blooming by the lake or on the hills and streams look so romantic," Ms. Hue expressed.

According to the People's Committee of Kon Plong District, during the Lunar New Year holiday of 2025, more than 200,000 tourists visited Mang Den, generating revenue of over 71 billion VND. Kon Plong District has 139 accommodation establishments with 1,250 rooms, capable of serving 6,000 guests per day and night.
