
According to statistics from January to November 2025, tourism revenue reached 124 billion dirhams (approximately 13.5 billion USD), a 19% increase compared to the same period in 2024; contributing about 7% to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), while also creating jobs and generating significant foreign exchange.
In recent years, Morocco has implemented various measures to boost its tourism industry, including opening new flight routes to key markets, promoting new domestic destinations, and encouraging investment in renovating and building new accommodation facilities.
Morocco aims to welcome 26 million tourists by 2030, the year it will co-host the men's World Cup finals with Spain and Portugal.
Observers believe that the world's biggest sporting event, along with continued upgrades to infrastructure and tourism products, will provide further impetus to Morocco's tourism industry in the coming years.
