Apple is about 6 weeks away from announcing its new iPhone lineup. Rumors surrounding the iPhone 17 lineup continue to emerge as September approaches. Among them, the most notable information about the colors of the upcoming iPhone versions. Recently, leak expert Sonny Dickson shared a series of photos of iPhone 17 models representing the colors chosen by Apple.
The images Dickson released show that the iPhone 17 Pro will come in black, white, dark blue, and especially orange. This is a rare color for the Pro line, which is usually associated with more neutral and luxurious tones.
However, it is not possible to confirm that this is the final color when the product hits the shelves, as this orange color could be an effect of the shooting angle or lighting. Previous leaks have suggested that the orange color will actually be more of a bronze color than a pure orange.

In addition to the orange color, a dark blue version has also been spotted in the mockup. This is a color that fits the usual style of the Pro line, but even this blue is said to be brighter than Apple's traditional dark color options. According to MacRumors , the iPhone 17 Pro line may also appear in a gray color and a special version that can change color under the light.
With the iPhone 17 Air, the models come in black, white, yellow, and blue, similar to the current MacBook Air. These are all colors that have been mentioned in rumors related to this product line.
Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 17 models come in black, white, blue, green, and a light purple shade that borders on pink. Previous rumors suggested that the lineup could come in black, white, steel gray, purple, and light blue. While the blue color of the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air are quite similar, there are some differences.
The Verge warns that the final shade of the actual product may differ from the current model. Model photos are usually a fairly accurate reflection of the overall design, but the color doesn’t always match the final version exactly. Differences in materials, gloss, and lighting often make the final version look much more sophisticated and harmonious when released.
Previously, a video from another leaker also showed a gray version, but there were signs of AI editing so the reliability level was not as high as Dickson's photo series.
According to Wccftech , Apple is known for its traditional and discreet color options. Adding a bright orange color to the Pro line could be a strategy to attract new customers in the context of global iPhone sales showing signs of slowing down. Especially in the Chinese market - one of the company's most important markets - a new color like orange could contribute to creating new appeal for the product.
In terms of design, the models also reveal a few minor changes, especially on the back of the Pro line with a larger camera cluster. This could be related to upgrading the sensor size or the number of lenses. In addition, many sources believe that the iPhone 17 will be the first line that Apple equips with LTPO OLED screens for the entire line. Thanks to that, the ProMotion feature with high refresh rates will be available on all models, instead of being limited to the Pro line as before.
