Apple is about six weeks away from announcing its new iPhone lineup. Rumors surrounding the iPhone 17 series are constantly surfacing as September approaches. Among them, the most notable is information about the colors of the upcoming iPhone versions. Recently, leak expert Sonny Dickson shared a series of images of iPhone 17 models representing the colors Apple has chosen.

The images released by Dickson show that the iPhone 17 Pro will come in black, white, dark blue, and notably, orange. This is a rare color for the Pro line, which is usually associated with more neutral and elegant tones.

However, it's impossible to confirm this is the final color when the product hits the shelves, as this orange hue could be an effect of the camera angle or lighting. Previous leaks suggested that the orange would actually be more of a copper shade than a pure orange.

Besides orange, the dark blue version appearing in the series of models has also received much attention. This color fits the typical style of the Pro line, but even this blue is said to be brighter than Apple's traditional muted shades. According to MacRumors , the iPhone 17 Pro line may also feature a gray color and a special version that changes color under light.

The iPhone 17 Air lineup includes models in black, white, gold, and blue, similar to the current MacBook Air. These are all colors that have been mentioned in rumors surrounding the product line.

Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 17 models come in black, white, blue, green, and a pale purple that's close to pink. Earlier rumors suggested the line might also include black, white, steel gray, purple, and pale blue. While the blue of the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air are quite similar, there are still distinct differences.

The Verge warns that the final color scheme on the actual product may differ from the current model. Model photos often reflect the overall design relatively accurately, but the colors don't always perfectly match the final version. Differences in materials, gloss, and lighting often make the final version look much more refined and harmonious.

Previously, a video from another leaker also showed a grayscale version, but it appeared to have been edited using AI, so its reliability was not as high as Dickson's images.

According to Wccftech , Apple is known for its traditional and understated color choices. Adding a vibrant orange to the Pro line could be a strategy to attract new customers amidst slowing global iPhone sales. Especially in China – one of the company's most important markets – a novel color like orange could contribute to renewed product appeal.

In terms of design, the models also reveal a few minor changes, especially on the back of the Pro series with a larger camera module. This could be related to an upgrade in sensor size or the number of lenses. Additionally, many sources suggest that the iPhone 17 will be the first Apple line to equip the entire series with LTPO OLED displays. As a result, the ProMotion feature with a high refresh rate will be available on all models, instead of being limited to the Pro series as before.
