MB and the Tax Department sign a cooperation agreement.

Recently, in Hanoi, Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) and the Tax Department (Ministry of Finance), along with 20 local tax authorities nationwide, officially signed a cooperation agreement.

The signing ceremony was held in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation, with the attendance of MB's leadership, the Tax Department, and representatives from 20 local tax authorities in key provinces and cities nationwide. The cooperation agreement aims to seamlessly connect bank accounts with electronic tax platforms, contributing to the promotion of cashless payments, enhancing transparency in business operations, and supporting taxpayers in fulfilling their tax obligations conveniently and securely. To date, MB has signed full cooperation agreements with 33 local tax authorities where MB has branches (excluding Lai Chau province, which does not yet have an MB branch).

In this context, MB has clearly demonstrated its role in connecting the Tax Authority and taxpayers through the deployment of integrated digital solutions for convenient tax payment, expanding cashless payment products and services, and actively coordinating communication and guidance to help businesses access and use them conveniently.

The cooperation program between MB and the Tax Department is not only aimed at short-term results. In the long term, both sides expect to build a model of cooperation between banks and tax authorities in Vietnam – where tax and financial data are intelligently integrated to serve taxpayers, promote cashless payments, and contribute to the national digital transformation process.
