On March 25th, Mbappe denied accusations by French journalist Daniel Riolo that Real Madrid had misdiagnosed and mistreated his knee. The French striker asserted: “With Real Madrid, we always communicate very clearly, both in Madrid and Paris, where I always have doctors and physiotherapists with me.”
However, according to Riolo, despite Mbappe's public denial, the information about Real Madrid's medical team misdiagnosing his knee is entirely plausible.
Speaking on RMC Sport , Riolo emphasized: “What we have reported has been confirmed from multiple sources. This is not false information. To put it bluntly, he lied. I believe this was a planned scheme with Real Madrid. Mbappe did not want to harm the club's interests.”
The incident reportedly began when Riolo revealed that Real Madrid's medical team had misidentified the location of the injury, forcing Mbappe to return to France for re-examination. From there, questions about the club's professional competence and information handling began to spread.
Not stopping there, the French journalist further escalated the tension by asserting: "This is a deceptive strategy. They are trying to cover up a ridiculous mistake. Why not choose the honest way?"

"Everyone knows the truth. Real Madrid has made a fool of itself in this affair," Riolo concluded.
