MediaTek is currently developing its next-generation high-end processor line, the Dimensity 9600 series. Recent reports suggest that the tech giant may unveil chips manufactured using the 2nm process, including the Dimensity 9600 and 9600 Pro, later this year.

Recently, leaker Digital Chat Station shared on social media about the significant performance leaps that this new chip series brings.

According to sources, the Dimensity 9600 and 9600 Pro will introduce a completely new dual-core CPU system, marking a significant change from previous designs.

This processor is said to be capable of reaching a maximum clock speed of nearly 5GHz. This impressive figure promises to deliver desktop-level processing power to compact mobile phones.

Dimensity 9600 và 9600 Pro sẽ có thể đạt tốc độ xung nhịp tối đa lên gần 5GHz

The Dimensity 9600 and 9600 Pro will be able to reach a maximum clock speed of nearly 5GHz.

The chip's architecture is expected to follow a 2+3+3 configuration, with two extremely large cores handling the most demanding tasks. This processor line is also said to utilize TSMC's most advanced N2P process. This combination could help devices reduce power consumption by 25 to 30%, although this information still needs further confirmation from Mediatek.

MediaTek dự kiến sẽ ứng dụng tiến trình 2nm tiên tiến lên dòng vi xử lý Dimensity 9600 mới.

MediaTek plans to apply its advanced 2nm process to the new Dimensity 9600 series of processors.

MediaTek appears to be planning to split its product line into several different segments to optimize market reach. The standard version may be developed based on a refined version of the Dimensity 9500+ chip. Meanwhile, the Pro and Pro Max variants will benefit from the latest 2nm architecture for maximum performance.

This tiered strategy allows phone manufacturers to easily target various price points while maintaining a premium experience. The Dimensity 9600 series is also expected to benefit greatly from MediaTek's collaborative AI platform development experience with Google. This will significantly improve on-device AI processing capabilities and more efficient power management during real-world use.

Sự xuất hiện của Dimensity 9600 Pro sẽ tạo ra một cuộc đua phần cứng hấp dẫn vào cuối năm nay.

The arrival of the Dimensity 9600 Pro will create an exciting hardware race later this year.

Leaked information suggests that high-end phones like the vivo X500 series and OPPO Find X10 may be among the first devices to feature this processor. The new chipset is expected to be integrated into the top-of-the-line Pro Max versions from both brands.

MediaTek's upgrade will undoubtedly create a very interesting competition with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chips in the near future.

I think MediaTek's 2+3+3 architecture design with clock speeds reaching 5GHz is a truly remarkable step forward in mobile processor manufacturing. The application of the advanced 2nm process not only pushes the speed limit but also solves the difficult problems of temperature and battery consumption.

If these leaked specifications turn out to be true, the Dimensity 9600 Pro will be an extremely formidable competitor, forcing other brands to accelerate their efforts to avoid being left behind in the race for smartphone hardware performance.
