Entering the MLS Cup final, Inter Miami started brightly and quickly opened the scoring. In the 10th minute, Messi's skillful dribbling created a situation that led to Editer Ocampo scoring an own goal.
However, Vancouver rallied at the start of the second half, and Ali Ahmed capitalized on a mistake by goalkeeper Rios-Novo to equalize 1-1 in the 60th minute.
The drama intensified in the final minutes, when Messi became the match-winner. In the 71st minute, the Argentine superstar stole the ball from Andres Cubas and then assisted Rodrigo De Paul to score, making it 2-1. Then, in the 90+6th minute, Messi again set up Tadeo Allende for a perfect finish to seal the 3-1 victory.

The victory helped the team in pink win their second trophy in just one week, following their Eastern Conference championship title on November 30th.
This was also Messi's third official title with Inter Miami and his 48th career trophy, a record in world football history.

This championship win was a source of lasting joy for Chairman David Beckham and the Inter Miami players, especially Jordi Alba, who couldn't hold back his tears during his final game before retirement, alongside his veteran teammate Sergio Busquets.
